I was up against a bit of a loose/passive in this hand and we were heads up on the river and so we're going to keep going until someone calls.
I had Q Q in the SB
There were two callers when I raised pf, got 2 callers.
Flop: J 3 3
Turn: T
River Q
I had bet each time, he'd called (other folded on the flop).
On the river he plays back at me:
Hero bets, Villain raises, Hero 3-bets, Villain 4-bets, Hero 5-bets, Villain 6-bets, Hero calls.
Now I don't have the nuts here, so at what point is betting -EV?
Or is calling here ever +EV?

Read dependant. If he's retarded, I don't stop. If he's solid, I stop around 10-12

There's a huge difference in strengths of the second nuts in this case opposed to say a K high flush. This one I'm ready to stack myself off 12 bets or so. In the case of NLHE, if you don't attempt to lose your stack, you played it wrong. Apply this accordingly.
If your opp isn't a straight up tag, I expect 3x a lot here.

Against almost anyone, I wouldn'tbe surprised to see TT or JJ go all the way. Against a LP, I wouldn't be surprised to see J3, T3, Q3, or A3 here. I don't stop re-raising this until villian stops or I run out of money.

Okay. Good stuff guys.
Yeah, he had 33 here, but I think that this downswing I'm in is leading me to make -EV decisions (or even more of them).
Trying to shake it off and keep betting these hands.

depends on how many bets i have behind me... if i have like 50bb or something then i'm not going with him for 30bb or something sick...
if i have like 10-20ish yea i take it the whole way... it's 20-50 that it could get harry, but i think if he's solid, he's got to realize at about 6 or 7 TT and JJ are no good... dumb ass i don't stop, because he could easily take it the whole way with TT and JJ, where a good player typically will not...

I agree with Fanatic. There is no reason to lose 20+ BB on the river in a situation like this. Almost anybody that isn't a complete moron is going to realize their TT or JJ isn't good here after getting reraised 10+ times. This isn't going to be a problem most of the time though as it's not likely for you and your opponent to both be sitting on stacks that size.

His call on the flop could mean he was slowplaying 33, JJ or maybe a middle pair like 88-TT. On the turn he didn't pop you, so I don't think it's TT. After about 5+ bets on the river, he must realize that you could have QQ or 33 yourself, but he keeps raising. I probably wouldn't take it past 8 bets against this passive player.

Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.
