I have 2 questions, 1 is just whether the Empire Poker is still profitable or has it gotten a lot worse after the split with Party? The second requires reading the rest of the post:

I started playing Poker on Empire, and was pretty bad at it (lost $90 before I realized I needed to learn more and came to this forum).

So then I followed the advice of these forums and found a poker room that has 0.05/0.10 tables to practice my skills in first (with the goal of 10,000 hands), and what a great advice that was, the decisions are a lot easier to make now.

Unfortunatelly the poker room that I found (GamingClub) has rather small number of players. I soon found that at 0.05/0.10 there are only 2 tables at a time, and once I started multi-tabling I switched to 0.10/0.20, where there are 4 tables at a time during peak hours. Right now I have 3000 hands played, but playing on GamingClub is painful because you have to find the right hours to play, and with 4 available tables, there is really not much table selection when you multitable. So far, after 2000 hands on 0.10/0.20 (the first 1000 are on 0.05/0.10) my win-rate is $0.02 per hand (which is 10BB/100), I know I might be using a very small sample to calculate my BB/100, but the earnings seem pretty consistent so far, I have yet to see a swing of more than $5 per session.

So I was wondering if maybe I should switch back to Empire's 0.5/1 where despite the fact that I will be risking more, there will be a lot more opportunities for multi-tabling. One thing that changed is Empire is now separate from Party, so that means a lot less fish than the last time I was around. So I was just wondering if anyone knew how much worse the situation got on Empire? And second, would it be a reasonable jump for me to make or do you think I should continue to stay on GamingClub? (I don't want to join any new poker rooms yet until I get good enough to be able to clear bonuses quickly (that means playing in places where rakes are over $.25)).

Btw thanks for all your help so far guys.

try the .25/.5 on Ultimate bet. the bonus sucks, but game selection is good at the microlimits.
Also, the bonus is released in increments, doesn't expire, and small rakes still count.
To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.
