i have a table texture of:
on my right...maniac.
2 off my right...maniac.
on my left...rock. less than 10% vpip.
2 off my left...call station. 70% vpip, 1% pfr, and 60% to showdown.
3 off my left...tight/passive.
how can i isolate the maniacs w/ the caller in position on me most of the time? does this make my seat hard to profit from?
or do i just find another table?
i worked awfully hard to find THIS seat and the caller came in and wrecked it. if it weren't for him, this would be a dream.

Still not such a bad table. You'll just have to 3bet to isolate the maniacs more and value bet the Calling station to death. The Calling Station will be OOP for most of the hands that you'll be able to isolate the maniacs with (in the BB or SB more than you think) and you'll still have position on him every hand except 1 in 6.

You need to be to the right of the maniacs at this table. Me thinks. If you can't isolate move to the right. Is that correct Jeff?

It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

i thought i wanted maniacs (and other aggressives) on MY right, so i had the position. if they are on my left, they have pos on me and i have to slow-play and give free cards or bet into them with marginal holdings. neither one do i want to do.
if they are on my right, i can RR to isolate them and let them bet into me when i have odds to continue. and raise when i am sure they are behind.
right? or is it left?...lol

there are arguments for both sides, but frankly the one calling station on my left wont affect my play that much.

With 2 maniacs, you make money by just being patient and only playing good cards. The addition of a calling station just makes the profit that much more. As always, the best strategy depends on a better read than just 'he's a maniac'.
