I'm a successful hold'em player and thoroughly enjoy it, but sometimes I feel like doing something a little different for a change. My only Omaha experiences are a few home games and watching on TV. I know the basics, but I was wondering if I could get a few tips for playing 25PL Omaha. I guess Ill just learn the more I play.

When I need a change from Hold 'em, I like to play a little Omaha/HL. It's enough different that you are not likely to find yourself playing omaha like you would hold em. It's a good change of pace and uses a little different thought process, moreso than just Omaha High would. If you're interested in H/L or want a good intro to it, I'd look into reading the OHL section of super system 2. It's a pretty decent overview.

I'm not sure it's that big of a change if you were playing $25 Holdem, but the Omaha tables are quite loose at that low of a level. 6-8 people seeing a flop is pretty much standard unless there is a big raise (1.25-2.00) then only 3-5 people may see it. But get ready for some major suck-outs and bad beats.
