B&M - $4-$8

1) Hand 1

betting on the river stupid for me ?? I thought i was valuebetting but got suckered in. didnt want to lose callers on flop and turn hence no raise.
Hero is on the button with 2-2

Preflop:
UTg+1 calls, UTG+2 calls, MP2 calls, CO calls, Hero calls, SB completes.

Flop: J-3-2 rainbow
CO bets, Hero calls, SB calls, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 calls

Turn: J-3-2-7
CO bets, Hero calls, SB raises, Hero 3 bets, SB caps.

River: J-3-2-7-K
SB checks, Hero bets, SB raises, Hero calls

SB shows 7-7

----------------------------------
Hand 2:
i realise its a very common hand but just wanted to know that does any one lay this hand down. calling down correct till the river ?? No reads on SB except i havent seen her bluff much. but i dont know what read she has on me. i have fairly Tight image.

Hero is KQo in CO

UTG+2 calls, MP1 calls, Hero raises, SB 3 bets, UTG+2 calls, MP1 calls, Hero calls

Flop: K-J-3
SB bets, Hero raises, SB calls.

Turn: K-J-3-5
SB bets, Hero calls

River: K-J-3-5-x
SB bets, Hero calls.

SB has AK

Why not raise the flop in hand 1?

Both hands are well played.

In hand 2, pot size and others players to act force you to raise that flop.

I put the SB's range in this game as:
AA-QQ
AK
air (~5%)

For Hand #1, I may consider raising the flop. I'm not a huge fan of small sets, I've had them cracked a lot, so I'd feel safer by trying to drive someone with a hand like 77 out. Other than that, I'd follow that line of thinking. Just calling works too, since you have a lot of overcallers.

i dont try to slowplay sets on flush boards or coordinated boards but here the board was uncoordinated and rainbow. also the bettor is to my immediate right hence dont want the pot to be too small when i have hit this "monster" (i mean now i know it was not a monster...LOL but other than that it appeared a monster... )

Yeah, hand 1 was fine. Bet into us, unraised pot, boring board, etc. Good spot to call and hope for the best. Run the math if you think I'm wrong, but I let 77 make that call all day long.
