I have been playing HORSE quite a bit lately as well as STUD Hi/Lo cash .50/$1. Have been doing pretty well but I am not doing well at limit OMAHA Hi/Lo.

Anybody know of any good links or any advice on starting hands would be much appreciated.

P.S. sorry it is such a boring post

TLR is an unknown quantity at this point
You can check the stickys at the Omaha forum

Starting hand selection is usually defined by point count system, you can use this link:

There is a big difference IMO between LO8 in cash and in Sng, so a lot of it depends on which type of game you play.

I can give you a few very basic and generic pointers that I think can help a total noob:
1. Dont draw for 1/2 a pot in heads up pots
2. Rarely draw for non nut hands, especally in multiway pots
3. Quartering happens a lot, especially on low hands and str8 high hands, so if you think there is a good chance of getting quartered go to check-call mode.
4. Counterfeighting also happen a lot, if you have a hand that is easily counterfeighted dont build a big pot on the flop
5. Hands that look much better then they are:
set with no other draws on semi coordinated boards (2 low, 2 to str or flush or combo of)
nut straight with no redraws on low or flush draw boards
pocket A's with no additional value preflop
6. As in most poker games, shorthanded game is totally different then full table game, you need to adjust
7. All and all most hands are relatively close in value, it is much more of a postflop game then preflop game, especially in cash
