Went all 3 days in B&M (am addicted ). Lost 32 + 160 + 50 in 3 days. If not for being on a jackpot table (paid 485$ table share ) I would have had a horrible weekend. But need to fix my game FAST because jackpot is not going to bail me out day after day .

a few B&M hands. sorry no convertor stuff just from my memory. Answers are below so it doesnt skew analysis.

1)

Limped in with AJo in MP2.

Flop: Q-10-6 rainbow.
UTG bets, I raise (hoping to get a free card), 2-3 people call
Turn: Q-10-6-K
UTG bets, MP1 raises, I 3 bet, UTG call, MP1 call.
Turn: Q-10-6-K-6
UTG bets, MP1 calls, Hero ??

2)
Limped in from MP with AJo

Flop: AA7 rainbow.
UTG bets, MP(very aggressive on this table) raises, I call (plan to raise the turn), LP calls
Turn: AA74 (2 clubs on board)
UTG bets, MP1 raises, I 3 bet, UTG call, MP1 call.
Turn: AA742 (3 clubs on board)
UTG bets, MP1 raises, Hero ??

2 hands with a specific villain:

3)Limp in from MP2 with A6s diamonds

Flop: x-x-K 2 diamonds
checked to me I bet 3-4 people call
Turn: x-x-K-A
checked to me, I bet 2-3 people call
Turn: x-x-K-A-10 miss my flush
checked to me I bet, Villain raises, Hero ??

4)Limp in from JQs in EP

Flop: Q-x-x rainbow
checked to me I bet 3-4 people call
Turn: Q-x-x-A (now 2 spade)
checked to me, I bet 3 people call
Turn: Q-x-x-A-x (3 spades on board now)
checked to me I bet, Villain raises, Hero ??

5) K7o in BB.
Flop: 5-7-7
SB bets, I call, 3-4 people call.
Turn: 5-7-7-10 (2 hearts on board). I dont have any heart
SB bets, I raise, everyone calls.
River: 5-7-7-10-x (3 hearts on board).
SB bets, I raise, MP 3 bets, SB caps, Hero ??

Two monster hands .

6) raise from BB with KK. Everyone knows by this time i only raise monsters but they still call. 8 people call
Flop: J-J-10
I bet, 6 people call
turn: J-J-10-K
I bet, 6 people call
River: J-J-10-K-A
I check, UTG bets, 4 people call, I raise, 4 people call.

7) raise from LP with AA. Everyone says if i have AA or KK. I smile. 6 people call.

Flop:A-3-8
checked to me I bet, 5 people call
turn: A-5-8-A
checked to me, I check, Button bets, we all call
River: A-3-8-A-x
checked to me, I bet, everyone calls. any reason to scare out 3-4 people by check raising on turn. They are saying that i probably have quads. but they are still calling. if i checkraise then maybe no action on river.

One guy had QQ and another had 55. So maybe i missed on a lot of bets by not checkraising the turn ??

it doesnt matter. If i dont improve my game at other places, quads wont bail me out. with these monster hands, i still lost 50$ yesterday.

RESULTS:

1)
UTG shows Q6. I SHOULD HAVE known that after i raised 2 times and UTG still led out, i was beat. I have a bad habit of raising with not the nuts.

2) UTG shows A9, MP1 shows K10 of clubs.

3) I show him my ace and tell him if he slowplayed his AK or JQ. I lay it down he shows me A3.

4) I show him my queen and fold. He shows me Q-rag

5) I call. MP has 55, SB has nut flush.

Looks like I am the sucker at the table.

1) I either raise or call depending on the player (physical tells help a ton here) but with no read raise...

2) Pump it on the flop also along with the turn if his Argo you're missing bets on the flop

3) Call the raise and hope you’re not out kicked or someone hit two pair, in other words make a crying call...

4) I’d probably give a crying call here again; you have a slight chance of the best hand at a real loose table... (Need a read)

5) Call pots big enough to hopefully have the best hand...

6) Plays it's self

7) No let them call then hopefully you can pump it on the river...

Don't fold for one bet in a large pot with an OK hand.
If I had a hammer
I'd drop in the morning
I'd drop in the evening..

Hand 1: Pre-flop is fine. Raise the river for value.
Hand 2: Call the river
Hand 3&4: Fold if he's passive, cry and call if he's aggro, DON'T SHOW WHEN YOU LAYDOWN. Say "I was kidding" or "I missed."
Hand 5: Fold
Hand 6: Bet the river
Hand 7: Played fine

Yeah raising probably wont narrow the field, and your offsuit so you are generally weak against multi-way pots.

I'm gonna have to agree with Fnord about the not showing statement. You give your opponents a little too much credit playing at these tables, and now they know you are willing to make "big laydowns" in tough spots. Maybe it's because I read SSHE and how it knocks on the players believing in "big laydowns." You have a reasonable hand and you're only raised 1 BB, it's worth a call. Half the time, these loose tables are either bluffing or putting too much stock in midpair or weak kickers. The other half, well, you're out 1 BB.

With all that said, I highly recommend SSHE by Miller/Sklansky/Malmouth if you plan on playing limit in a B&M. My game was significantly better afterwards. I'd imagine yours would be too.

Don't give a nice passive, straight forward player a reason to play back at you. Once you show a fold, you're begging them to play back at you. You're also showing that you're playing serious poker and perhaps they should too. Either way, you've just made your opponents play better just so you can show off what a great player/fool you are by making that laydown.

i agree with both Fnord and outphase. I read that statement in SSH too. But on those specific occasions I STILL DONT KNOW why I did, what I did.

I will keep that in mind from my next visit to never show my hand unless its required at showdown. I felt so stupid with the way this older guy made a play at me. toying me around like a newbie

I gotta work seriously on my table image too. I just cant laugh and kid around at the table (not very good in social skills ).

Here's where I'm different. I usually try to get the table to have a good time so they don't realize where their money is going. If the casual players are having a good time, they are there for what they wanted. Players like us are there to have a good time and make money because we know what we're doing, but casual players play because it's fun.

Don't become a statue at the table. Most of your opponents will not read too much into you having a fun time (win or lose), but once they open up you'll see a change in their game. Even if you know someone is blatantly bluffing and you call down their bets sometimes say "whew, you had me scared a little bit" to make them feel like they're doing things right.

You don't have to never show a hand, but never show one you're laying down. That's just giving your LAF (loose-as-fuck) opponents a reason to keep playing back at you.
