I had the nuts from the flop. From the history at the table, I thought if I bet everyone would fold. should I have bet after the flop, or raised at the turn. Like all poker, I guess it is situational. Thanks in advance.

There's only one glaring mistake in this hand and it's that you didn't raise preflop

Also, aren't you a little under stacked for this game?

I would be a lot more uphappy if I got all the action you wanted with my Quads, but didn't have the stack to cap all the bets.

He had 17BB which is enough to cap every street (14BB)... but that's another discussion for another time

This is true. But the table was very tight. Every time I raised everyone would fold. Also on a side note the Previous hand was also a monster JJ over TTT boat for about $10 as well. I was afraid if I raised they would all fold again. 2 hands before this I was down to $6 stack. I may have been a little scared of what might happen on the flop or didn't want to get too cocky.

Thanks
Bumper

Also, true. I started with the min buyin of $20. And took a couple on the chin. BAD CALLS. Which brought my stack down a bit. I recovered quickly though and ended the day up about $36. Which is not bad considering I only play on my lunch break.

Thanks
Bumper

You have to bet this preflop. QQ is vulnerable and it's very important to protect it (while getting some value at the same time). If everyone folds, so be it. In that case you were not likely to get much value out of the hand anyway.

I would bet this flop because then nobody will suspect you have a big hand (you'll likely get callers and if you're lucky you'll get raised). Also, you don't want to give free cards on this flop. A number of draws are out there (a flush draw, two OESDs, and some gutshots), and you want people to pay to draw to these. Also, you'd like to build a pot so that a second-best hand is more likely to pay you off on the bigger streets.

Its online poker, if the table is that tight that you have to limp/call preflop with QQ, then find another table.

I bet this flop too. But I bet flops with a flush draw, OESD, and TPTK. At the lower limits, I'm finding that players will pay to "see one more card", and fold on the river when their outs don't hit. Make 'em pay to see the rest of the board.

And ditto on the PFR, if the table is so tight that it folds around any time anyone raises pre-flop, then open up your PFR'ing hand selection a bit.

i dont play limit hold em but you have to raise this pre flop expecially with the limper. No reason to expect him not to call another half bet of you are scared of not getting action. Also you are on the button so a raise is not really going to look like you have a strong hand.
