Hi guys,
I've read the site plenty, but never get around to posting (I don't have an awful lot to add to be honest, not anything that might actually be useful any how)
I've decided to dabble a little in Hi/Lo. So in air of learning the game I thought I'd ask about this hand. I'm sorry it's not properly laid out, I play on VCpoker - they don't do proper hand histories.
Tantamount to their lack of help I've had to remember my cards and I've duely forgotten one of them (it was a middling rag, only the suit interested me), I was dealt:
Q Q A x
0.05/0.10 blinds PL
(I think that's all the info)
**edit**
No sorry, forgot VC doesn't tell you the stacks either. Now It's half an hour down the line my memory's stretched. A good gauge of the relavent people though is:
Bezique: $20
jjcometopapa: $6
There abouts anyway
**edit**

D: Board cards [K 8 K 6 7 ]

D: jjcometopapa bet $1.80
D: justplaying has 10 seconds to respond.
D: justplaying folded.
D: Bezique folded.
D: jjcometopapa wins $1.71 as the last player standing
To behonest I'm not sure if Ii played it quite right and also am unsure how wise the fold was. People do play most anything at this level. Anybody got any pointers?
Cheers for the help

I'm not an omaha expert but...
I think you need to bet the flop, you have a pair of queens, it would be nice to know if someone has a King, it's a scary board for most hands. Depending on the response there you probably bet the turn as it's not scary at all, the river brings up a straight possibility but if people have been drawing to this they are very optimistic and hopfully you've screwed their odds already.
It seems almost certain the guy is buying the pot, all in is a bit strong, so probably a bluff, i'm inclined to call but i'd like more info on his hand. The river has also brought the low so theres a good chance he's got 2 low cards and figures he's good for half a pot at least.

Basic strategy here...
If you do NOT have a king, check/fold the entire hand. Seriously.

Why didn't you have "fold to any bet" clicked on the flop? What are you seriously looking for here?
A queen would be your perfect TWO OUTER and you STILL COULD BE DRAWING DEAD. Never draw to hands that aren't the nuts, it doesn't pay in the long run
You could have attempted at steel on the flop with a pot bet, but this is risky the lower the limit you go.

Aye fair kop. I'd already been having doubts about queens. I was only on day 1 of my Omaha play so am just getting a proper feel for it. I only considered it because I thought I had both high pockets and a nut flush draw.
Thoughts noted, cheers fellas
