I know there's not much I could do to not lose these pots but was just wondering if I might have saved a bet or 2 along the way. These 2 pots pretty much made a winning session into a break even. I know I should have raised the flop in hand 2 but I seriously doubt he was going to fold as shown by his preflop cap with A8o in the first hand.

Button and CO in hand 1 are pretty laggy and are the same guys for both hands. Both VPIP's over 35

Absolute Poker 2/4 Hold'em (8 handed)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A, Q.
4 folds, CO calls, Button raises, Hero 3-bets, 1 fold, CO caps, Button folds, Hero calls.

Flop: (12 SB) 9, 5, 6 (2 players)
Hero bets, CO calls.

Turn: (7 BB) A (2 players)
Hero bets, CO raises, Hero calls.

River: (11 BB) 7 (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 13 BB

Results in white below:
CO has Ah 8s (straight, nine high).
Hero has Ac Qc (one pair, aces).
Outcome: CO wins 13 BB.
