Given you raised UTG+1 then called the 3bet this almost seems like an Ace face, when the A hits the flop she gave you credit for the A, personally I’m not sure if it was the "right lay down" but I do know she had a good read on your hand... really she made a big lay down, where it might have been profitable to check call the flop there? given that the pot preflop was 9.5sb and then 10.5sb where if she has a spade she has about 1/2 the value of a flush draw 4.5 plus 2 Ks so 6.5 outs, which is about 7.1:1 plus implied odds of probably at least 2bb out of you, so given the pot of 14.5sb (including implied), 7.1:1 a profitable call?

PF (3 way 3 bet + sb): 9.5sb
Flop: your bet 10.5sb
Implied sb: 4
Total 14.5sb = 7.25bb
Given KsKh = about 7.1:1

I think you might want to gamble there... close decision...

Hi Pokerfanatic

Yes, it was interesting,. I don't know , though, if checking the flop is reasoable for her after she 3 bet. One option may have been to check with the intention of a C/R, but then I would just have slowed down and called down. So I don't like the C/R either.

I think the boarded ace and the three spades combined was enough for her to think she was not going to get sucked out. I doubt she wold have folded the same board rainbow instead of spades.

Any others have comments on the laydown here???

not really... i was just loking at odds... think i actully over valued the backdoor flush draw... so it was the right fold...

I'm not a very good limit player but if she folded the Ks, maybe she should have check/called the flop, otherwise she's just chasing one of 2 outs so a fold would be a very wise play and a tough one to make.
I'll be a rootin' tootin' shootin' damn fool, protectin' my chips.

I think the lay down is a good play but not the right one by her if one of her kings was the spade. I check/call to the turn and see what drops here every time. i want to see a spade or a K because I am reasonably sure that you have Ace face...i will draw against you for my set/flush. Especially when the flush is the nuts.

If she doesnt have the spade...Easy fold.
Superb play sir...I always call 20% of my stack off with a gutshot draw. Excuse me while I race for my wallet.
