I had no reads on anyone really. This was my first button after sitting down.
The thing I'm most curious about is the 3-bet preflop. From what I've seen since starting to play at party at .5/1.00, it is not uncommon for players to overvalue their pocket pairs and straight draws. Should I have capped from the flop all the way to the river figuring a straight is unlikely and he probably isn't holding pocket tens? I wouldn't three bet 10's, but it's hard to tell what other players could do at a low limit party game with no reads.

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

Preflop: Gatlin Dan is Button with 9, 9.
UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, 2 folds, Gatlin Dan raises, 2 folds, UTG 3-bets, UTG+1 calls, MP1 folds, MP2 calls, Gatlin Dan calls.

Flop: (14.50 SB) T, 3, 9 (4 players)
UTG bets, UTG+1 calls, MP2 calls, Gatlin Dan raises, UTG 3-bets, UTG+1 calls, MP2 calls, Gatlin Dan caps, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, MP2 calls.

Turn: (15.25 BB) 6 (4 players)
UTG bets, UTG+1 calls, MP2 folds, Gatlin Dan raises, UTG 3-bets, UTG+1 calls, Gatlin Dan caps, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls.

River: (27.25 BB) 7 (3 players)
UTG bets, UTG+1 folds, Gatlin Dan calls.

Final Pot: 29.25 BB

Results in white below:
UTG has Ac Ad (one pair, aces).
Gatlin Dan has 9c 9h (three of a kind, nines).
Outcome: Gatlin Dan wins 29.25 BB.

JJ/QQ/KK/AA are all possibilities.
Maybe even KQs or AKs in spades.

Seems weak tight. What possible hand that raises pf makes a straight or flush, with the exception of AsKs, or some such. Easy Cap.

given the way the entire hand played out i think it was toooo likely they have AA or KK. i would at least throw in the raise and call the 3bet.

Yeah, just calling is probably too weak, I like that line.

I agree. If they have 88 or TT or 2 spades, I'll pay them.

I cap on all streets.

Not at this level. Mostly these players arent really playing, they are letting their nine year old son push buttons while they smoke a cigarette. The only thing i can see being present that beats you is AKs, AQs, which arent rationally played that aggressively on the flop, or TT. Im not going to slow down because some schmoe may have one of the few combinations of the one hand that is going to beat me. Think of it this way. Think of your average aggressive party fish. Would they play AA this way? I think so. Give me a thinking, or even somewhat thinking villian, and i am more aggreable to a river non-cap.

I think capping the river would be tough. There's still three people in before the river bet. I would think they had to be in chasing something or for some other reason. I do like the idea of raising and calling the three bet should they re-raise. I'll post the results now. Thanks guys.

Seconded. UTG was aggressive from the very beginning...the chances on having either the flush or straight are very slim.
