I'm trying to give him bad odds to call, the villian is aggressive pre and post flop, but I didn't see him as a calling station. I think he woulda been way more aggressive with a nut str or decent set.

Um, you went all-in with the nuts, how can this be a bad idea?

I would've folded preflop.

Miffed22001 is on a distinguished road
If he called your turn bet he better have a set/two pair and a flush redraw. Straight is possible too i guess for a split

Otherwsie he sucks and you want to play with him more

To elaborate, we''re playing with a 3 card hand.
The ring isn't full, though even with as many as 7 playing this is a bad idea.
The 2 is the thorn in our side, it does absolutely nothing (flopping trips would still be a headache with this card). It isn't suited and is nine gapped from our next biggest card.
In case you were wondering why to fold preflop.
Shorthanded this hand can become strong, but it is much better and more profitable to have all four cards coordinated, even loosely cooridinated. I would actually prefer a hand like 5-7-9-J over a hand like the one in question.
We hit a nice turn and the set by the guy filled up, right?
No matter what, we want to play with this guy, because the turn call was retarded by him, even if he had a set and a flush draw. There was no chance of him getting another river bet, and it is the implied odds that make these calls correct.

Yes, SonOfAkira,

The exact point I was trying to make was that I'd love to play this same situation over and over and over and get that call, he did have a set that made a boat.

Now I also know that the dangling 2 made this a very questionable hand. . . So why did I play it? Because I rarely play ring rooms, because I always get impatient since the blinds never increase, I get to the point where I limp in to see more hands than I should!

I do the same thing in fixed limit games, psychologically I seem to be more comfortable with the constant changes in a SNG.

Anyway:

*** SHOW DOWN ***
HERO: shows [Ts 2d Jh Ks] (a straight, Nine to King)
VILLLIAN: shows [6h 3h Kd 3c] (a full house, Threes full of Nines)
VILLLIAN collected $11.60 from pot

he had some awsome flush draw with that boat, huh!?
