I seem to have a lot of hands like this. I miss the flop, but I'm pretty sure they missed it too. I could post more, but I think you get the idea.

I also need work on situations like this, but still, my 2 cents:

If you are pretty sure they missed it too, why not bet or check-raise the flop? Then lead the turn if they go into call mode. If they don't fold the turn, then depending on the turn/river cards and the player you are up against, occasionally lead the river too.

If they play back at you at some point, these situations gets harder and more read-dependent than they already are, and (assuming you don't catch a helpful card) you should often fold in this case, but not always.

As a general rule, when I'm heads up in difficult situations, I prefer logic to math. I find odds and distribution analysis to be less helpful (thought not useless) and instead I try think up some good questions about my opponent regarding looseness, aggressiveness, and thinkingness and see if the answers can lead me to a logical play.

If MP1 is loose, raise PF and the flop. You likely have the better hand until he plays back. If not very loose, still raise the flop. In the hands, the aggressor usually wins.
