I agree with Hyper. Come close calls. But overall very good.
I don't know what they have to say
It makes no difference anyway.
Whatever it is...
I'm against it.

I'm inclined to bet the river on hand 3. Part of me thinks it's bad b/c it's a small pot, part of me says pick it up right there b/c nobody else wants it.

edit: what kinda hand calls a river bet there? Most likely a better one?

A couple I didn't think I played well:

Hand 3 - this is a great play in position, but I was out of position. The check raise with 2nd pair from the SB was just dumb. Couldn't believe my opp didn't bet into me on the turn or river.

Hand 5- I really wish I would have laid my hand down on the flop here. Out of position, again. My flat calling of the raise, and the check on the turn just oozes weakness. Bleh.

I can see why a c/r is desired. You can both, eliminate a lot of drawing hands, and you can possibly call out a pot steal.

And another thing, while we are on the subject. I think your opponent should have raised the river. But after the check/raise on the flop, he'd be silly to raise the turn without the nuts or near nuts.

#1 Yep.. same way I would go with it

#2 Good time to CR from the blinds when your expecting the button to bet. Tough river card, I'd bet willing to check/call for that pot size.

#3 After he check the turn through I probably would have bet the river

#4 I don't like the flop call on this one. It's a tiny pot and you can get out of it for 1 small bet. The turn call is thin on odds since your heads up. River is fine, not sure if I would try to CR the river.

#5 This a hand I don't like having to play. The guy is willing to Cold Call your raise Preflop and then willing to raise the flop. I'd probably go the same way with it.

#6 I raise that hand preflop just for value now, sure your going to give them odds to draw, but if you hit your jack its worth the extra 1/2 bet preflop, or hit a low flop.

#7 Nice bet on the flop. I have a habit of 3 betting someone like that. I think thats 6max kickign in though.

Hand 1: Standard
Hand 2: Bet the river
Hand 3: Bet the turn + river
Hand 4: Fine
Hand 5: HU I'm tempted to call down or fold to the flop raise
Hand 6: Raise pre-flop, drive from there
Hand 7: Fold or 3-bet pre-flop

QT is a strong hand heads up, and also tells the button to screw off and stop trying to steal blinds.

i would do this in shorthanded games, but do you think you should be just as aggressive longhanded as well?

i guess the whole argument is...if you're going to call for 1 bet, might as well bet it yourself and see if you get raised and then redecide.

It also usually loses the BB (dead money in the pot) and if an Ace flops you'll usually pick up the pot unless the Button has one. I really like having 3 cards in my hole

Full table players tend to back off more often without the goods because they're not used to playing against a good blind defense.

YES! The biggest difference between SH and full is that in SH you call down thinner and the starting hands are weaker.

For example, in the QQ case with a Kxx board, I'm always calling down there at a SH table and expect it to be profitable! Full table is closer. Folding the turn to a non-club is really bad.
