In omaha Hi/Lo, you want to take down both the high and low pot, not just split it. So with just the low, you wouldn't be getting as good odds. I'd like the second hand better.

A234 is an absolute powerhouse
A2KQ is a good solid hand
A2KQ with suited ace is still < A234 rainbow
A2KQ double suited = A234 rainbow

Your the smart one , but isn't it better to have both a high and a low?? ....rather than just a low

Always go for the high part that way you never have to split and if you do youre getting 3/4's of the pot. much better odds for u.

The point is not how much equity you have preflop but how bettable your hand will be and how likely you can win a big pot postflop
Especially when you have a multi way pot
A234 < A2KQ if you're going to race them preflop, but in a big pot how often can you rely on your AK for high?
You just need to play a lot of hands and play A234 and A2KQ a lot in order to get a true idea of their strength
Another thing to consider is the stack size and betting structure. I say A234 is powerhouse because I play PL with big stacks. If you play limit you may want A2KQ
