I find gutshot's play unimpressive. Unless you have good cause to think he's making a move, I think that's an easy river laydown to Mike and your boat is certainly worth more bets on the turn or river as thinking players will be often be playing a worse hand very strong.

Yep, but it didnt say why you overplayed it. You thought he was making a move, what range did you have him on.

Or maybe he hit some kind of a fast action button like "raise any" and went to the bathroom. He comes back and finds out that's not such a good idea after all.

The way it was played I thought he had a Q with a weaker kicker and was an attempt to slow me down a bit, it also seemed like a donkey thing trying to rep the set... the main hand I had him on was like KQ or QJs given he limped UTG and only called the raise... maybe a mid-high pair like 99, TT, JJ but I would assume he would have raised those so maybe small pair like 22-66...

So one the flop when he c/r and I 3 bet and he just called I eliminated 22-44... so I’m left with 55,66,TT-JJ,QJ, KQ on the turn when he just check called, I eliminated the set possibilities... leaving TT-JJ, QJ,KQ all hands which I can beat....

when the river comes down a 6 and he donk bet i assumed that he had something like a Q thinking that maybe I would slow down... but that also kind of makes me wonder know if he slow played a flopped set of 55 or 66, maybe turned a set of 88s? So that's why I believe I over played the river when he just called though I thought I was good... plus if somehow he slowplayed i have a nut FD as outs but i think i'm ahead here...
