A different kind of hand read......what did I have?????

Based on my actions, what range of hands do you put Hero on here?

CO is loose aggro (38/18 but only 20 hands)
BB is loose and passive (41/7)

Party Poker 15/30 Hold'em (6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is Button with ? ?
2 folds, CO raises, Hero 3-bets, 1 fold, BB calls, CO calls.

Flop: (9.66 SB) J, 3, 2 (3 players)
BB checks, CO bets, Hero raises, BB calls, CO 3-bets, Hero folds, BB calls.

Turn: (8.83 BB) 3 (2 players)
BB checks, CO bets, BB calls.

River: (10.83 BB) 7 (2 players)
BB checks, CO checks.

Final Pot: 10.83 BB

(2) One the first times ElispsesJeff and I are at the same table.......

He took down a few more big pots in quick order, so I was happy to stay out of his way. Nice to see an "FTRer" that is makin a living at Holdem do well. Good on yah, Jeff.

Jeff is the SB

Party Poker 15/30 Hold'em (6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is MP with 6, 3.
3 folds, Button raises, SB 3-bets, 1 fold, Button calls.

Flop: (7 SB) T, J, K (2 players)
SB bets, Button calls.

Turn: (4.50 BB) 4 (2 players)
SB bets, Button calls.

River: (6.50 BB) A (2 players)
SB bets, Button calls.

Final Pot: 8.50 BB

I wanted to type in the chat, "such a typical FTRer....." but didn't ...lol

Hand 1: It seems you had AA-TT, AK-T, 66-99 depending on how funky you get PF, maybe KQ-J, the 3bet I just don't see much more from a solid player then those hands... maybe QJ but that's starting to stretch it a little... on the flop when you raise then fold to a 3 bet I think you don't have a set so JJ is tossed out you don't fold AA-QQ unless it's an accident, and AK-AT you could have been wanting a free card but when you 3bet getting cold called and CO 3 bet you fold... doesn't make much since with QJ so that's out assuming you didn't miss click, AK-Q, AJ is out you would at least call...

so only thing i can think of is 66-TT but really you have the odds know that the BB is calling getting 17:1 with implied odds it might be enough to take one more bet 22:1 figuring that you think one of the players has a J or bettor but not a set of Js...

so this leads me to think you had AK, AQ, AT, KQ and were going for a free card play that backfired... though you figure you have 3 outs you are again getting 17:1 to call a for 1 bet well 3 outs 14.3:1 you can call there so I wouldn't understand that...

My guess would be mid range pair’s 66-99 maybe TT...

Hand 2: I think that Jeff thought that you were trying to make a play and were capable of doing so if you are supper argo and he has a decent hand he'll fight fire with water and call down super argo players...

Thx Pokerfanatic

I'll hold off on what I had in hand 1 til others chime in, but very detailed analysis.

In hand 2, I folded preflop. Jeff is at it with someone else. It's a low content hand just thought it was nice to see an FTRer...

Hand 1: I'll put you on a pocket pair. Either way, thats a bad fold on the flop after you raised.

Hand 2: LOL, thats not me.

EDIT: OOPS.

Heres that hand, you tried to pull a quick one on me!:

Party Poker 15/30 Hold'em (6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is SB with A, A.
3 folds, Button raises, Hero 3-bets, 1 fold, Button calls.

Flop: (7 SB) T, J, K (2 players)
Hero bets, Button calls.

Turn: (4.50 BB) 4 (2 players)
Hero bets, Button calls.

River: (6.50 BB) A (2 players)
Hero bets, Button calls.

Final Pot: 8.50 BB

Results in white below:
Button has Ad Ts (two pair, aces and tens).
Hero has Ac As (three of a kind, aces).
Outcome: Hero wins 8.50 BB.

But the hand was a savior to me and my mind. I hit an 80 BB downswing last night in 200 hands or so and seeing AA at this table was a blessing. But I hated to see that flop , glad to see myself still hold up. I didn't want to do anything other than normal to hide the strength of my hand and hence I pretended I was in the average blind defense situation. Too bad the flop didn't come Ten high, I probably could have played the hand more.

since hero folds to the flop 3bet you probably have a low pocket pair or a speculative hand like 98s.

LOL you must have 40 hands on me....... first table we were on was a 10 max and I had zero hands in 2 laps. Lost $50 in blinds and left. My VP$IP was 0.

I'm 31/15 over almost 9000 hands in 6 max. last of my problems is being tight.....I dream of being a TAG.. Let me know when you have a 100 hands on me and you are ragging me about being a PT green-happy- faced SLAP......

Thx Jeff

31/15 seems pretty solid to me for 6-max. Not quite aggressive enough if the tables are passive, but I don't know what kind of tables you typically have. I have 36/23 over 11k at 5-max. Overall very passive tables. I might get a little frisky with the Axo open raise in CO. The more experienced short table players have a comment on that? The reason I think it may be a little loose is that I get cold called a lot by the button at most tables so I don't succeed in buying the button nearly as often as I would like. Maybe if the Button is cold-calling me 40%+ I should restrict the CO raise to A7 or A8?

Maybe if the button is cold calling you 40%+ you should find a new table.

I'm running 22/18 over the last 6k. Typical predictable tag, thats killing the game for 2.5/100 :]
