Went to casino for the 1st time yesterday i actually did pretty well considering i dont ever play Limit hold em 1/2 bets. Both blinds are a dollar. Then i guess 2 dollars after the flop(not really sure) But i basically did my same style of play as nl but i noticed the board was exremly loose and very newbs. Playing j/4 suited a/3 k/6 off suit etc. Prety much calling every hand that was dealt to them, u get what i mean like 4-5 players busted out. Now i started with 20 then turned it into 35, went back down to 15 into 25 and finished with 23. I know hah sucks for profit wise. But i made 2 bad decisions i got sucked into a pot with k/q of preflop(shoulda just through it away), and didnt flop anything with a/q suited on last hand for 2 preflop.. Then another 2 hands i chased a flop/str8 trying to win a big pot the 35% didnt fall for me on the flush..tough break but overall i say it was good exp.I know i was good because a person got happy when he got me 2 call his lucky ass flush on river with my top pair. Im definately gonna go a lot more and profit 8-)

I was just wondering what are some good books on Limit hold em and some of guys strageties on it. If ya dont really feel like talking about it give me a link to some good info. But please tell me of a good book.

O yeah forgot to include that it seems to me playing connectors esp j/10 10/9 5/6 4/5 is really good in limit. Since every straight has to have one of them in it, not saying its good to do it all the time but i actually won a decent size pot like 15 dollars with 8/9 off suit by flopping 2 pair(lucky i know)

Conservative still seems to way to play, playing 2 faces cards etc.limping in with small pairs hopeing that 11% chance ull hit that set. And like is said mixing it up sometimes by calling raises with the small connectors. If

but go ahead and shoot ur opinions exp whatever, if ya think im wrong tell me why..

Normally, offsuit connectors are trash. I dont even play them from the SB. There may be some situations where you're getting odds, but it's rare. Two face cards depends on position.

I suggest reading Small Stakes Hold 'em. Its a very good starting point. Learn to play by the book, then make adjustments as you gain experience and move up in limits. There is no need to vary your play at the lower limits, the players are to stupid to notice how good you play.
Is that guy still part of the forum??
