My opponent was fairly aggressive. Should I go for another check-raise here on the river and risk missing a bet?

PokerStars 5/10 Hold'em (5 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q, Q.
UTG calls, MP raises, 2 folds, Hero 3-bets, UTG calls, MP caps, Hero calls, UTG calls.

Flop: (12.40 SB) 9, 9, Q (3 players)
Hero bets, UTG calls, MP raises, Hero calls, UTG calls.

Turn: (9.20 BB) 8 (3 players)
Hero checks, UTG checks, MP bets, Hero raises, UTG folds, MP calls.

River: (13.20 BB) 5 (2 players)
Hero bets, MP calls.

Final Pot: 15.20 BB

Nah I think you played it fine what is he going to put on the turn c/r probably the 9 IMO... only time you might get a bet is if he thinks A9 is good and you have like 9x or top pair... I think you miss too many bets to make up for the one extra...

I was thinking it was fairly obvious he had K-K or A-A here. If I check the river, I thought he might be likely to think an overpair is good, and decide to value bet it.

Trying for a check-raise of the river is bad, they will check behind a lot of the time.
Field mice are fast, but owls can see in the dark.

The fact that MP didn't cap the turn would make a check/check on the river even more likely. But, even if he capped the turn I'd still bet out on the river.

Your right bet was the right plat IMO.
