I'm trying to figure out how to give drawers the wrong odds to play against me, but I'm having a really hard time of it. In both of the following hands, I felt sure I had top pair with the best kicker, since there was no pre-flop raising. Both times, I got drawn out on. Is there a better strategy to give them worse odds (wait until the turn to bet maybe? I don't want to give them a free card, though)?

Hand 1:

PokerStars 0.10/0.20 Hold'em (9 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: silverfist is BB with A, 8.
3 folds, MP2 calls, MP3 calls, 2 folds, SB completes, silverfist checks.

Flop: (4 SB) 8, 7, 5 (4 players)
SB checks, silverfist bets, MP2 folds, MP3 raises, SB calls, SB checks, silverfist bets, MP3 calls, SB calls.

Turn: (6.50 BB) 2 (3 players)

River: (6.50 BB) J (3 players)

Final Pot: 6.50 BB

Results in white below:
SB doesn't show.
silverfist has Ad 8c (one pair, eights).
MP3 has 9c Th (straight, jack high).
Outcome: MP3 wins 6.50 BB.

Hand 2:

PokerStars 0.10/0.20 Hold'em (10 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: silverfist is CO with J, Q.
6 folds, silverfist calls, Button calls, 1 fold, BB checks.

Flop: (3.50 SB) 5, 7, Q (3 players)
BB checks, Button raises, BB folds, silverfist raises, Button calls, silverfist bets, Button calls.

Turn: (6.75 BB) 9 (2 players)

River: (6.75 BB) 6 (2 players)
silverfist checks, Button bets, silverfist calls.

Final Pot: 8.75 BB

Results in white below:
silverfist has Jh Qd (one pair, queens).
Button has Qh 8c (straight, nine high).
Outcome: Button wins 8.75 BB.

I'm leaking money all over the place and I should be doing well against all these loose passive players. Is it just bad luck or is there some way to get them to abandon gutshot draws and such?

Hand 1: he had the correct odds for his OESD. It's low limits...you can't always give them incorrect odds.
Hand 2: he drew out on you.say nh and add him to your buddy list

Hand 1: The pot was $0.40 and you only bet $0.10. He has to call $0.10 to win a $0.60, which is 6 to 1 odds to outdraw you. If you want to give him bad odds you have to bet the amount of the pot or more (although in a $0.10 game I doubt most of your opponents are calculating pot odds).
He has a 31.5% chance to hitting his draw on the turn or river.
If you had bet $0.50 on the flop, he would have to put in $0.50 to win $1.40, making his bet 35.7% of the pot. He does not have the odds to call you.

Hand 2: Again if you think your oppenent is on the draw, you need to bet the amount of the pot or more on the flop. It just so happens that he had top pair, and a runner runner straight draw. So he may just call you thinking he has the best hand (again its a $0.10 ring game). He got really lucky.

If you find yourself getting outdrawn by hole cards like Q8o, you might want to raise preflop if you are in good position.

KoRnholio will become famous soon enough
Both were played well, being out of position in that first hand made it pretty much impossible to make someone fold by 3betting the flop.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

You'd be surpised... the .1-.2 on Stars are a bunch of tightwads...
>50% see the flop with the average pot around 5BB... way less action then you'd expect for these micro pots.
