Ok lets say you have A/k and the flop is Q/j /6 rainbow. The turn is a 10 giving you a nut str8. You bet get raised and wind up caping. The river is a pairs the board. You lead out and get raised. Do you call or 3 bet. Personally i lean towards 3 beting but we run the risk of being caped by a fh. On the otherhand if we don't 3 bet we let trips get off cheap ?

depends on your oppenant and you TI. basicly its a math question. Look at opps 3-bet range, if theres more then twice as many instances that he 3-bets a hand tha you beat then cap, other wise call.. Actually i like to check call sometimes here to induce a bluff from MP or TPBK. Just depends.

Depends on a lot of things.
If the 6 or 10 paired, I am more likely to 3-bet the river since it's less likely that the villain holds a boat. If the Q or J pairs, it's more likely that he has a full house since QJ/JT/QQ/JJ are types of hands that would possibly cap the turn.
It depends a lot on how the villain plays too. How hard would he push with certain hands on the turn? Some people will spew 4 bets with something like KQ in spots like that, others will only do it with a set or K9/98.

Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

lets say it's the ten. Also lets say they fire back with a 4th bet and cap. At this point i would think they have the boat but a crying call is mandatory is it not.

With 18 BB in the pot (say there was a raise preflop, one flop bet, capped turn and capped river), you absolutely must call for one more bet. This is why it pays to consider the board texture and opponent before reopening the betting on the river (where a 3bet allows him to cap, costing us 2 more BB than just calling).

Uhh.. if the turn gets capped and the board pairs on the river, you dont have this problem. Because the correct play is a check/call.

If the 6 is the card that pairs on the river, I could definately see a bet/call line being best vs a lot of opponents. I definately agree though that if the Q, J, or T is the card that pairs, check/call is the way to go against almost everybody.

Turn capped on Q J 6 T board and you want to lead on when the river is the 6 ??? Spewtastic. He's not capping QJ or QT here. Youre either way ahead or splitting. On the river youre way behind, splitting, or against a bluff who wont cant call a bet anyway. Check/call like woa.
