Table had been really tight and I was about to leave.

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (8 handed) converter

Preflop: Fnord is MP2 with J, J.
3 folds, Fnord raises, 1 fold, Button 3-bets, SB caps, 1 fold, Fnord calls, Button calls.

Flop: (13 SB) 8, 6, 2 (3 players)
SB bets, Fnord raises, Button 3-bets, SB caps, Fnord folds, Button calls.

Turn: (11.50 BB) A (2 players)
SB bets, Button calls.

River: (13.50 BB) 4 (2 players)
SB bets, Button calls.

Final Pot: 15.50 BB

Results in white below:
SB has Qc 8c (one pair, eights).
Button has Ts Tc (one pair, tens).
Outcome: Button wins 15.50 BB.


I had the BB pegged as tight/passive and the SB as LAggy + calls too much

Final Pot: 10 BB

BB has 9s 3h (high card, king).

#1 is tough. You'll have to go with reads to call this one down; turn makes things worse..

#2 if you think SB will call 2 bets back to him on the flop, I guess it might be the right move. Nice read

Hand 1: Sometimes hands like these I wonder about collusion, because there really is no reason why SB would act that way preflop.

capping like that with Q8s is pretty sketchy....if they were colluding the button shoulda folded the turn.

I thought the same thing for like 5 seconds.

However:
o He really did have a hand post-flop
o Players sometimes do silly things from the blinds. Maybe he figured he was playing here and may as well put in the cap. You see fewer caps like this with a 5 bet cap.
o It's a tight table and maybe he's making a play because he thinks he can get away with it.
o He tilted away a bunch of money after this hand.
o A colluder is unlikely to showdown.
