I voted 1/2 but both .5/1 and 2/4 would work.
I don't have a suggestion for a date.

If it's not 15/30, I don't think I'll have the interest to play.

My only problem with .5/1 is the last time we tried this no one played serious we were capping with crap, and it didnt seem too serious post flop either. It wasnt any help to my game, it was purely entertainment which was fine but not for game improvement. "Upping the ante" to 2/4 or something would make more people play serious. I believe Fnord once said its not poker or gambling if losing doesnt mean anything. Just my $.02.

i agree, but that's unfair for all the people still playing the micro limits. and it's still educational to play against very aggressive players. you can learn to cope against maniacs.

I voted for 2/4 b/c I think more people would be willing to play that but I'd do anything up to 5/10. As far as a time goes, the evening works best for me.

I don't have a problem playing .5/1 but i'd rather play something that "stings" a little more.
Something that will deter people from Raising KTo from UTG

I'd be interested in playing anything up to 2/4, but would prefer 1/2. Would this be played on the Party network?

Uhh, why not do two games? 2/4 seems to be a commonly listed level; and of course the .5/1 I'd be in the .5/1 game right now, I drained my PP account to replenish my live BR after Vegas (yes, I'm still bitter with sincity)
Im down for any time tomorrow

The .5/1 table last time was actually pretty tight, and if i'm at a table full of tags, lags, and rocks, with the only fish being hyper, mike, and gutshot, then i want it to be as cheap as possible.
I don't think it matters to some of us though, b/c we have the BR to play stupid at any level we play at. I'll play at either level, but to make it really sting, we should all play at levels ABOVE our bankroll or something, like 10/20 full ring, now that would tighten your belt.
...and dont think i wont raise with KTo utg at that table either, especially cuz i know you aint gonna cold call and will be forced to raise everytime
None of you f'ers better try and steal my blinds either, or is curtains to you!

Just thought up something else, this game is about pride and bragging rights more than anything else. Why not have a series of cash games, once a week, with some type of monthly prize to the players with the highest earnings and the highest BB/100. We could have the game at lower stakes, to allow everyone to play, it could even be played on PokerStars 2¢/4¢ tables. With everyone trying to win the series, most players would be playing their A game (as opposed to raising UTG with 39o)
Now, we'd have a tourney series and a ring series. The best of both worlds.
Any thoughts?

I also like this idea, but you have to make it worth something!
I mean, anyone can kill the .5/1 limit games, i think this should be used at 2/4 stakes, so that the level of players are actually somewhat good.
I've been advocating LHE tournies or something competetive for a long time, something that can make LHE's version of the Gauntlet and be challenging.
Possibly create another thread Steve and put your ideas and don't be so generally about it. Don't make it a limited time thing, keep it on going. A weekly/monthly FTR LHE leader board and such. I hope this actually goes farther than a suggestion....
