Hi I am new to these fourms and i like the advise given out. I am a 2/4 4 to 8 tabler on party and I my pt vpip is 15.18%. I have looked alot at other players stats and it seems that the optimal vpip is about 18-19%. My question is how to get this up without playing junk (k10 jq kj all off suit of course) from early position. I also do not cold call raises so I can not see a way to raise my vpip. My only guess would be to play more hands on the button. My sample size is around 10000 hands so I know its not optimal and the 2+2ers would gripe at me.....but thats why im over here. Any input would be great. Thanks Chase

You are 8 tabling 2/4 with a 15% VPIP. And you have about 10K of hands under your belt. Are you profitable? I'd say this is the big question.

The only thing I can think to say is that you need to raise more and call less. If you are satisfied with your play and are running a good profit, I don't see much else you need to do.
I don't know what they have to say
It makes no difference anyway.
Whatever it is...
I'm against it.

You're not much tighter than I am.

Most of my hands above that mark are isolation plays or blind wars.

Whats your name on Party? So I can avoid your rock a$$.

4-8 tabler on party I would think to increase those extra 2-3% (i think 17% is optimal myself) to play more out of the small blind could add maybe .5%, loosen up when fish are at the tables. Also, whats your Blind Steal/Defense rate? This could increase that number some too.

But I would think anything more than 17 vpip on 8 tables would be a pain. I would like to see a win rate.

Welcome to the forum, your words are welcome here, don't be afraid to post advice although you are new. And 2+2 can go screw themselves....

My total aggression is 3.06 so I dont think I need to raise more and call less.
my win rate is 3.22 bb/100 at 2/4 on party....I have over 100k hands on ub, I just recently switched to party/empire. the rest of my stats
went to showdown 31.69
won at showdown 58.47
pf raise % 7.8

I am not too agressive in the blinds unless i have a good read on the player playing. My fold to steal rates are 86% and 84%..... I guess I need to defend my blinds more often.

One other question I had is where do I get that hand converter so I can post hands on here. Thanks for the help Chase

We should hook up on IRC sometime. I'd love to swap hand history blocks with you.

In brief, you should defend more and steal more. That will get up your VP$IP and PFR into a more sharky range.

Thanks guys, I would steal more but the volume of tables I play puts me in autofold mode more often. My pfr on ub was over 9% over about 100,000 hands so it might go up a bit on party. Were are you guys at on irc so I can head that way... I'm not very familiar with irc but i have the program. Thanks Chase
