Since joining the site only days ago I've come across a lot of phrases, concepts, terms, acronymns I don't fully understand. Please forgive my ignorance but I thought this type of thing might be useful to other newcomers.
I didn't know where to post this, but most of my questions came from the limit ring forum specifically, so I hope you don't mind.
What follows is the Acronymn/Term and a brief example sentence of how it was used in case that helps.
AF (“I think my flop AF is around 4, my turn is around 3….”)
BB/100 (“The guy is making 4BBs/100 at 2/4!”)
Broadway (“…KJO and other offsuit broadway cards.”) I’d guess facecards, is that correct? I say paint, just another slang?
The Bubble (…when you get towards the bubble start loosening up….”)
CO, UTG, MP (position acronyms, just what do they stand for)
Cold Call – (“NEVER Cold Call preflop!”) – Could someone just please give me a detailed explanation with examples of why this is so bad. I understand cold calling to be “calling a bet or multiple bets for the first time in a round.” What’s the difference between cold calling and simply calling with a good hand with a raise in front, is there one?
FE (…you still have 6BB. Plenty of FE….”)
ITM (In the money) What’s an ideal/acceptable percentage on this? What’s a reasonable % goal?
PT (“Do a filter on your PT for ‘cold calls.”)
ROI: (Rate of Investment?) how is this factored?
TPTK (“Don’t 3 bet or cap your TPTK”)
VP$IP (“VP$IP can come down some to around 18%.”)
UB (“…at UB it’s a bunch of weak tight players….”
WSF (“Won $WSF: 36.”) Actually that whole thing is Greek to me.
And I appreciate the abundance of “Hot Asian Avatars” on the site as a whole. Keep it up.

AF (“I think my flop AF is around 4, my turn is around 3….”)
Agression Factor
BB/100 (“The guy is making 4BBs/100 at 2/4!”)
Big Bets per 100 hands
Broadway (“…KJO and other offsuit broadway cards.”) I’d guess facecards, is that correct? I say paint, just another slang?
Ace High straight
The Bubble (…when you get towards the bubble start loosening up….”)
1 away from ITM
CO, UTG, MP (position acronyms, just what do they stand for)
Cut Off, Under The Gun, Middle Position
Cold Call – (“NEVER Cold Call preflop!”) – Could someone just please give me a detailed explanation with examples of why this is so bad. just calling. It's bad because you never gain any information. If you raise, and they re-raise you back, you can guess that they've got something good. But if they raise and just call you, maybe they don't have something that good.
FE (…you still have 6BB. Plenty of FE….”)
no clue lol
ITM (In the money) What’s an ideal/acceptable percentage on this? What’s a reasonable % goal?
Most people say around 50%
PT (“Do a filter on your PT for ‘cold calls.”)
Poker Tracker
ROI: (Rate of Investment?) how is this factored?
Return On Investment. profit/amount invested
TPTK (“Don’t 3 bet or cap your TPTK”)
Top Pair Top Kicker
VP$IP (“VP$IP can come down some to around 18%.”)
Voluntarily put money in pot
UB (“…at UB it’s a bunch of weak tight players….”
Ultimate Bet (where I play )
WSF (“Won $WSF: 36.”) Actually that whole thing is Greek to me.

A-10 are the broadway cards. AKQJT is the broadway straight.

Never used the abbreviation. The term means the value your bet has based on the chance of your opponent folding. "You have very little folding equity against this guy."
