Lets talk about "reverse implied odds"
To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.

The pot is giving you 7.5 / 1. If you are behind to an overpair, then you have 5 outs to get 2 pair or a set. You also have a backdoor flush and straight draw. So call it 6 outs in total giving you odds of 6.8 /1. Even if the SB 3 bets you are still getting 7/1.

So why not call the flop raise ?

because he's going to pay through the nose if the SB re-raises completly screwing his odds.

you gotta think that sometimes he's actually ahead here against AK or something

AK and what?

How often do I have both players beaten?

If I do have the best hand, how often do I lose anyway?

How much is it going to cost to go to showdown?

I'd 3-bet here, SB may fold if 2 back to him and you can probably see the showdown for 1 BB more.

hahah i know you're a fan of the turn checkthrough, river autocall. i should probably use that more instead of trying to fold them on the turn....

are you investing any more money on this hand if it's capped back to you on the flop? calling the flop is trivial...but if a brick falls on the turn, you have pretty good odds to continue calling down...but once you hit the river, now you have to call, cuz it's the river...bah! this ends up being very expensive for a mid pair...

Well, if i had more info on villain maybe. But, I doubt any sane opponent would cap here and would rather go for the turn checkraise. You forget, you've also got 2 back door draws to add to your top pair that may still be good. Why would you fold?

4 handed I threebet, checkthrough, autocall. I'm a jeff clone - the only difference is he wins.

If you are going to play it this weak short handed, you should seriously reconsider playing T9s.

I used to fold in simiar situations and then cringe when A6 took it down against AK.

Reverse implied odds does not really apply here because you have lots of ways for your hand to improve. The turn can help you as much as your opponents.

Yeah 4-handed top pair is probably good here. The BB's raise could easily be a 6x or a middle pocket pair here.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.
