You don't have anything near the nuts on the turn and were getting a good price on your calls relative to the size of the pot so I guess play was ok on the turn. If you were going to re-raise that would be where you would do it b/c the action tells you that at least one of them has a hand. So, IMO you messed up on the turn. You should have raised 1/2 pot or pot to define your hand, build the pot further, and prevent someone from getting the right price to suck out on you chasing that 4th club or FH. If you were re-raised you might consider folding.

On the river, just flat call. No sense in doing the betting for the guy who may have just filled in.

Seems like a very passive table or everyone fearful of the flush.

Overall, not terrible situation. You did not have the nuts and you were getting a fair price on your calls given the strength of your hand. DO not reraise on the river. There are a lot of hands out there that have you beat.

Ahh, limit. no wonder everyone was such a puss. Well I still think is was ok not to raise the river with the board pairing and 3 more players. I re-raise the turn once you made the flush pump up that pot.

I've wondered, what're the percentages of another player having 2 hole cards the same suit as you? I don't believe it's very high, so if you get your flush on the turn, it's likely you're the only one. So how do you play the rest of the hand?

If your hole cards are fair or low, in this case 68, then I'd consider betting the turn hard to discourage those who need the river to make their flush. If you're holding face cards, then let them draw out.

Thoughts?

The problem with this (at least in my hands) is that when you hit another flush, you lose it all.

But then I play on low limit tables and can often fake other players into thinking your bluffing with an all in.

I feel (and could be wrong) that at the .25/.50 and lower levels you make more going all in with the nuts (or almost nuts) than by just betting big.

Q. Is poker Gambling?
A. Do you use correct bankroll management?

acually, I think his turn play is just fine. I think he should bet the flop here or check/raise it to build the pot as big as possible. Once that 3rd flush card comes out on the turn you have to make all those other people holding a higher flush card than you (say a 9c for example) pay if they want to see that river. Since you DONT have the nut flush here, you must get your money in here when you have the best of it at the turn.

Pretty much good play.
