Raise and call a 3-bet. If he made a bigger boat, good for him.

I think a 9s full boat might checkraise here.

I'd go for the call here for several reasons.

Besides a bluff which hands are BB raising here that we beat..? I can't really think of any. And say he made a str8 on turn he would have 3-bettet it right away.

Besides bluffs we are at best splitting here. Therefor I think the raise is no good and it would be awful to get 3-bettet here. Also BB makes a stop and go which to me is screaming a fullboat with more chances of nines full.

He calls the flop bet, instead of raising as would be normal if he had an eight. He leads out on turn, could be str8, but why is he only calling a raise then..? Say he slowplayed an eight on the flop, wouldn't he have chekraised the turn..? a pair of nines makes sense for his turn play he bets b/c he holds top pair and calls the raise in fear of str8 or trips.

River well this makes sense with either an 8 or 9 only thing we beat is if he puts you on an overpair and he has a str8.

Just my thoughts on this.

Well, it depends how retarded I think he is. Given that it's Party 2/4, I default to assuming a reasonable degree of retardation, so it's entirely possible he has a straight or a flush on the end here.

That being said, I agree with the rest of your reasoning on this one.
