HAND 1
Villian is a 21/15/2 and generally plays pretty well on every steet. Not very tricky, but very solid.
Is this standard?

Hand 1 I tend towards raising the turn, because you may get extra bets in if he thinks his hand's good.
Hand 2 it really looks like he's got QT from the third and fourth street action, he check/called 2 on the flop, and check/raised you on the turn. 3 betting him isn't too bad here, but raising the river is plain spewing

Good read. I put him on two pair but you're right--he had QT.

Hand 1:
I raise the turn he might 3 bet something like AK thus you cap and get 2 bets out of him once he realizes he is behind but is pot stuck to call down... i don't see him putting you on a SD raising the flop, when he 3 bets the flop it tells me he has a power house hand AK, AA most likely that he wants to protect as much as possible, there fore you have to raise the turn and hope he over plays it with a 3bet... even if he doesn't you get the same amount from those 2 hands I think he is on (maybe KQ)...
Hand 2:
he obviously put you on the wrong hand because I 3 bet my straight on the river!!!
IMO a smart player like you for instance will not raise the flop and 3bet the turn on a FD... I think he missed a bet if he had some balls...

I like hand 1. I'd probably raise that turn, though. He'll probably call you down, and you'll win the same amount of money, without risking him deciding to slow down on the river.
On hand 2, I'm definitely slowing down after he three-bets that turn. He has QT (suited, I'd guess). Seriously, what else could he possibly have? He just called a raised bet on the flop and then suddenly sparks to life on the turn? Either he hit his straight, or maybe he was slowplaying a set of fours. Either way, I'm check-call guy from that point on unless the board pairs on the river. Then, I'm back to being raise-raise guy

Definitely not QT suited, because he didn't 3bet the river when the obvious draw completed

call the flops raise the turn, unless the draws are big.

hand 1, raise the turn while he still has hope to catch one of his outs. also notice that if he had 77 he would have caught up on the river and crushed you. or if he had any pocket pair higher than yours he had a chance to rivered a higher set. make him pay.

Looking at this a second time, I think the turn raise on hand 1 has to be the right play. SB 3-bet the flop, so it is very rare he will fold to your bet and could easily 3-bet you with a second best hand. He probably has AK or KQ. Give him a chance to make a big mistake.
