Preflop I couldn't decide between raising and folding so I just called, lol

I'm assuming I should just bet the turn. How much? What do I do if he raises?

I haven't seen him in any big showdowns yet. He's something like 30/8 over a small sample.

Preflop: Hero is Button with Q, 8, 8, 4
UTG calls $0.25, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.25, 1 fold, BB checks

Interesting hand, I normally check behind and hope to fill up on river and evaluate regardless. Problem is if he doesn't have the flush draw (say some kind of wrap without fd), then he's going to be worried you do isn't he?
Just playing to improve.

I like a check but I think a small bet is OK too, 2-3$, then I would not fold to a CR. I think we only get one street usually unless we happen to fill and he makes a smaller boat. checking allows him to bluff also

pre limp is OK OTB, I don't like raise, fold is fine/better depending on opponents

Thanks for the replies. I did end up checking the turn but at the time I wasn't sure if betting or checking was better.

I added the river to the same hand history below. Is it correct to think that he'll probably call with worse hands (than my 2nd nut flush) but he's never raising with worse? So therefore I can raise/fold here?

does otf = on the flop?

I was thinking that I would get it in if he 3bets me on the flop. Is that good or bad?

100bb deep it would be my standard, 160bb deep I'd start worrying about aware opponents stack-off range on the flop being straights+redraw which either kill some of our equity OR have us dominated (straight+nfd).
