Specifically:
Should I call preflop in the first place?
Should I bet out the flop, or checkraise? MP3 is retarded and is probably calling either way. UTG is aggro but not retarded.
Should I bother making a crying call on the end when I miss all my outs but pair up?

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with 5, 6.
1 fold, UTG+1 raises, 3 folds, MP3 calls, 1 fold, Button calls, Hero calls, 1 fold.

Flop: (9 SB) 8, Q, 7 (4 players)
Hero bets, UTG+1 raises, MP3 calls, Hero 3-bets, UTG+1 caps, MP3 calls, Hero calls.

Turn: (10.50 BB) 2 (4 players)
Hero checks, UTG+1 bets, MP3 calls, Hero calls.

River: (13.50 BB) 5 (4 players)
Hero checks, UTG+1 bets, MP3 folds, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 15.50 BB
TylerK: its just gambling if i want to worry about money i'll go to work lol

well played. the preflop call is iffy but I would do it with intentions of the BB calling.

I muck that hand you're OOP post flop and got two cold callers your no where near good unless you flop an ungodly hand and how often does that happen? Plus original raiser is EP... you got any reads?

C/R the flop PF aggressor is on your left you can trap every one in the hand for 1sb then raise getting more bets in on your draw...

Do you think you're hand has enough showdown value to call and be profitable in this situation the way it was played? you need to have the best hand once out of about 15 times to be profitable (that might be wrong), but I think with his action you pair of 5s is no good, I probably would give up in that situation I’m thinking he has AQ, AA-QQ he raised PF then caped the flop that's usually a sing of a very strong holding... do you have any reads on this guy? His aggression just looks to me that you are way behind... if you have a read that you might be good then go with it...

I would check/raise the flop to try to suck in MP3.

As for the river call, given his flop cap I don't think you're good often enough without a read.

He was pretty aggro like I said, but even with a little bit of a read I think I could have safely folded the river.

BTW, I don't know if this makes a difference to you guys, but button ended up all-in somewhere on the flop and broke the converter, so he's still in the hand.

My thinking at the time was basically that my pot equity in this case is probably right close to 50%. I want to get in as many bets on the flop as possible, and because I am very sure that MP3 is probably calling anything and betting/raising never, a bet and a raise is probably getting called anyway, but a check runs the risk of getting checked through. This probably would have been more of a worry if UTG+1 was less aggro though, I probably could have counted on him to bet (which he did). Of course, then MP3 called 2 cold (again as I expected), and I got to put in another bet. I don't know though, your line is more standard and probably makes more sense, but is my thinking at least reasonable?
