First time post for me, but I have been a reader of this limit forum for a while and it has been very helpful to me and has really elevated my game.. so first of, thanks!

This hand has been bothering me and I wanted to know what you think:

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is BB with 5, 8.
2 folds, UTG+2 calls, MP1 raises, 1 fold, MP3 calls, 3 folds, Hero calls, UTG+2 calls.

Flop: (8.50 SB) A, 8, 5 (4 players)
Hero checks, UTG+2 bets, MP1 raises, MP3 calls, Hero calls, UTG+2 3-bets, MP1 calls, MP3 calls, Hero calls.

Turn: (10.25 BB) Q (4 players)
Hero checks, UTG+2 bets, MP1 raises, MP3 folds, Hero calls, UTG+2 calls.

River: (16.25 BB) J (3 players)
Hero checks, UTG+2 checks, MP1 bets, Hero calls, UTG+2 calls.

Final Pot: 19.25 BB

PF: I thought about folding PF which I probably will do in this situation more often than not, but out of the BB, and thinking the first limper would call, I called

Flop: I was going to checkraise MP1 on the rainbow board, but the bet/raise threw me off, instead I called to raise the turn

Turn: Wanted a low card here and worried about A,Q, so I went into calling mode

River: Crying Call

Looking at the hand, If I bet the flop and got raised, Q,Q may have folded, but I am not sure. Any thoughts on what you would do with this hand will be appreciated.

Bingo, he had Q,Q.
I definitely wasn't folding, but the timing for a raise didn't seem right at the time... I will be ready to 3-bet it next time.

Also consider that bottom 2 is a very vulnerable hand. You really want to get your money in when everyone has 5 card hands and before they build 7 card hands.
