Fishstick pushed me out of this pot with 2nd pair. Nice work. I had you on a stronger A than mine, but your warning shot saved me some $$ at least.

How the hell does SB call down with that garbage???

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (10 handed)

Preflop: lhoney2 is BB with 4, A.
UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, UTG+2 (Fishstick) calls, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, MP3 calls, CO folds, Button folds, SB completes, lhoney2 checks.

Flop: (4 SB) K, 7, A (4 players)
SB checks, lhoney2 bets, Fishstick raises, MP3 folds, SB calls, lhoney2 folds.

Turn: (4.50 BB) T (2 players)
SB checks, Fishstick bets, SB calls.

River: (6.50 BB) 6 (2 players)
SB checks, Fishstick bets, SB calls.

Final Pot: 8.50 BB
Main Pot: 8.50 BB, between Fishstick and SB. > Pot won by Fishstick (8.50 BB).

Results in white below:
SB has 8s Kc (one pair, kings).
Fishstick has Ks Ts (two pair, kings and tens).
Outcome: Fishstick wins 8.50 BB.

that was just text book (ssh) protecting my hand. i figured one of you had an ace, and since i was behind, it was a raise or fold. glad i hit two pair on the turn, not that i needed it against the SB (k8 off )

here's a couple more from last night:

hand 1 - i like my turn fold to the raise here; i'd be curious to know what others think

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (9 handed)

Preflop: fishstick is CO with J, J.
UTG calls, UTG+1 folds, MP1 (lhoney2) folds, MP2 folds, MP3 calls, fishstick raises, Button calls, SB folds, BB folds, UTG calls, MP3 calls.

Flop: (9.50 SB) 2, 4, 3 (4 players)
UTG bets, MP3 raises, fishstick 3-bets, Button calls, UTG folds, MP3 caps, fishstick calls, Button calls.

Turn: (11.25 BB) K (3 players)
MP3 checks, fishstick bets, Button calls, MP3 raises, fishstick folds, Button calls.

River: (16.25 BB) 5 (2 players)
MP3 bets, Button raises, MP3 calls.

Final Pot: 20.25 BB

Results in white below:
MP3 has 4d 3d (two pair, fours and threes).
Button has Ts Ad (straight, five high).
Outcome: Button wins 20.25 BB.

hand 2 - this was just amusing , especially as i had just reread the section in SSH that talks about AK sometimes holding up unimproved in a multiway pot.

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (10 handed)

Preflop: fishstick is Button with K, A. CO posts a blind of $0.5.
UTG raises, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 folds, MP1 calls, MP2 (lhoney2) folds, MP3 calls, CO (poster) folds, fishstick 3-bets, SB folds, BB folds, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, MP1 caps $1.75 (All-In), MP3 calls, fishstick calls, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls.

Flop: (20 SB) 3, 5, 4 (5 players, 1 all-in)
UTG checks, UTG+1 checks, MP3 checks, fishstick bets, UTG calls, UTG+1 folds, MP3 folds.

Turn: (11 BB) 9 (3 players, 1 all-in)
UTG checks, fishstick checks.

River: (11 BB) 7 (3 players, 1 all-in)
UTG checks, fishstick checks.

Final Pot: 11 BB

Results in white below:
UTG has Qc Ah (high card, ace).
MP1 has Qs Kc (high card, king).
fishstick has Kh Ac (high card, ace).
Outcome: fishstick wins 11 BB.
i hate what i have become to escape what i hated being...

to me the saddest part of lhoney's story is the fact that the fishy SB called TWO bets on the flop with nothing but second pair, crappy kicker. then threw good money after bad by paying two more big bets just to show his garbage.

I fail to find anything sad about this. It makes me happy. Orgasmic even...

I've been doing this alot more too after reading that session in SSH. I am frankly surprised at the people who bet without top pair. I'm check-raising top pair no kicker in BB and also second Pair top Kicker from EP a bunch more. I'm also surprised at how well that works! Go Sklansky.
