I do like it... I have no idea what's going on, but I do like it.

Here are three hands where I think I went wrong.

******* Hand 1 ********
Is raising KTo here okay?
It's got to be right to bet the flop, right? But what about the later streets?

Cryptologic
Limit Holdem Ring game
Limit: $1/$2
4 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $61.75
Button: $106.80
Hero: $49.50
BB: $45.25

Pre-flop: (4 players) Hero is SB with T K
UTG folds, Button calls, Hero raises, BB calls, Button calls.

Flop: 5 Q 6 (4.5SB, 3 players)
Hero bets, BB calls, Button folds.

Turn: 7 (3.25BB, 2 players)
Hero bets, BB raises, Hero calls.

River: K (7.25BB, 2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, Hero calls.

Results:
Final pot: 9.25BB

******* Hand 2 ********
Is calling with KJo right?
How about the flop raise? And the rest of the betting? Would seem the obvious thing to do.

Cryptologic
Limit Holdem Ring game
Limit: $1/$2
4 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $91.63
Button: $103.75
Hero: $42.50
BB: $49

Pre-flop: (4 players) Hero is SB with K J
UTG raises, Button folds, Hero calls, BB folds.

Flop: 7 6 K (5SB, 2 players)
UTG bets, Hero raises, UTG calls.

Turn: 5 (4.5BB, 2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets, UTG calls.

River: 8 (6.5BB, 2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets, UTG calls.

Results:
Final pot: 8.5BB

******* Hand 3 ********

Turn check/call seems weak to me.
River check? Pot seems small enough that only hands that beat me call? Or is that wrong thinking?

Cryptologic
Limit Holdem Ring game
Limit: $1/$2
4 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $64.50
Button: $103.50
Hero: $40.50
BB: $49.25

Pre-flop: (4 players) Hero is SB with Q Q
2 folds, Hero raises, BB calls.

Flop: 8 J 6 (3SB, 2 players)
Hero bets, BB raises, Hero re-raises, BB calls.

Turn: J (5.5BB, 2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, Hero calls.

River: A (7.5BB, 2 players)
Hero checks, BB checks.

Results:
Final pot: 7.5BB
Blah blah Op Blah blah

I'm going to guess that you're going to say "it depends on your reads"

Are you saying calling bet and a half preflop was bad, And he should have re-raised?

I'm a 6-max newbie too.

it's bad because he's in the worst position, against an UTG raisor whose range has your hand dominated.

Hand 1 is good, Hand 2 you should fold KJo OOP facing a raise, but good post flop, Hand 3 is fine.

Harry and midas, has it escaped your attention that it is four handed in hand 2? My preference for preflop lines would be:

reraise
fold
call

Calling there just sucks, IMO, but I think you are giving up value by folding. You certainly aren't dominated by most SH players range from CO. In fact, you have a decent chance of holding a dominating hand.

I did miss that, but calling is still the worse option preflop from the SB there.

raise > fold > call

edit: just read the second half of your post...

I think you were right the first time with the KJo fold from the SB midas. What kind of range are we putting CO on here? If it's a 30% range, pokerstove puts KJ0 at only 45%. That is not good, especially when you are going to be OOP. I wouldn't want to be getting into that situation.
