My first 162 hands i have these stats:
VP$IP: 27.78
PFR: 9.88

I think sometimes I might be too agressive. Also, it is hard to tell what everyone else has when they are loose/passive. All advice is appreciated, thanks.

edit: whats a good way to change all the color: tags without manually doing it?

i know that this is an EXTREMELY small sample of hands... but you should really keep an eye on the amount of hands youre playing. You might just getting some really good cards right now, so ill reserve judgment.

I only looked at Hand 1 because im in the middle of a session. The turn was your big mistake (this is without any reads being posted about the given player). I like the way you played the flop, definitely no problems there. I might get some flak for this because some think I scare easily. But if youre behind even at the flop on this hand are about 11 to 1 to make youre hand... in a small pot. Its definitely not worth it. Like i said, making a bet was a good idea - but if you didnt improve (Especially with an A coming on the turn) you should fold to any resistance. This is taking into account that I have absolutely no reads on this player. He/she may be a maniac.

Hand 1:

Pretty much well played, there's not much you can do here, maybe switch tables to get more loopy fish in there. You could check raise but its not worth it.

Hand 2:

I like your limp with the suited cards. Probably shouldnt have bet straight out with only middle pair. Try and go for the check raise here if you are to do anything. With the 2 suited cards and the straight possibility, anyone and everyone is going to try to draw to that thing. Gutsy raise with that A showing. However the three-bet should have given you a clue that he had an A or the straight. You've got 14 outs if he has an A but only 9 if has the straight. Check fold the river here, no need calling down with a pair of threes.

Hand 3:

Hmmm, beginner mistake here. Kxs isn't that good of a hand to be played with only 2 other limpers in the pot. Chances are you'll run into situations just like this one a majority of the time. With such a small pot, its hardly worth to play. If you decide to play it though, raise it from LP, you might force the SB to fold there and you may have one the pot. Fold the river after you didnt get your flush draw, he's probably not betting with a gutshot draw here, you're calling for a split pot at best.

Hand 4:

K9o is not that very good of a hand, play if suited only, good blind steal hand. even if you hit your K here you still would have lost because you were outkicked. Many passives out there wont raise KT and KJ and you'll be outkicked very often. Check the turn to get the free card. No need in betting because only those that can beat you will be the ones calling you. Check the river too.

Hand 5:

Good raise from EP with 99, it is a borderline raise/limp hand. It didnt do too much good though because 4 people cold called your hand. UTG was a loopy $hit head that you're lucky you didnt lose more money on this hand. You were correct on betting out, its not your fault that UTG didn't raise you. Check the River and take the free showdown with 2 overs. If he called you the first two times, the only person who would call you now would be those that have you beat.

I think its possible you got a little too aggressive in a couple of the multi-way pots. You should try NL, I think your style would produce some pretty decent results.

Either way, good luck!

Although my caliber of play is no where near jeff's, I think my 3/6 live game plays a lot like .5/.10 online so my advice is a little tighter.

Hand 1 - I fold to the turn raise w/ 2 over cards, especially when the A hits

Hand 2 - preflop is fine, but when I'm playing suited garbage like this I'm looking to flop 2 pair or better. Fine to take a stab at it when checked to (although with this coordinated of a board I don't expect many to fold), but I'm done with the hand when the A hits. I Check/Fold the turn.

Hands 3 and 4- I fold pre-flop

Hand 5- check behind on the river

I thought everyone was switching to NL...what promted this?

lol....

I was wondering, myself, why gabe was playing 0.05/0.10 and calling it "his first 162" like that and why his play and a couple of jeffs comments I found.... well... "interesting"

.... until I saw the dates.

Glad this was two years of experience earlier... lol Nice to realize how far you've come when you read an old post of yours like that.
