Ive been away for a few months now finishing up college year...I come back and see all the same great faces around here spreading poker wisdom.
I jumped back on party for the june bonus and I cant find a 1/2 or 2/4 table that has more than 3-4 tops seeing the flop. Its the tightest tables ive seen over last couple days.
Whats the technique on finding a soft table?

Play short handed and abuse your opponents as they fail to adjust when the table fills up. Plus players who play short full tables (as opposed to 6/5/whatever max) generally suck at short handed play anyway. Lots of playing junk looking to hit flops.

So you are sitting down at 4-6 player tables and sticking to playing a tight game while everyone loosens up for the short table and everyone tries to steal the blinds?? hmmm..ill will try this theory

I play my 6 max game until the table fills up. I'm confortable playing hold'em against lukewarm opposition down to about 4 handed. When the table fills up, their strategy of playing too many hands and calling too much shifts from pretty bad to bankroll suicide making for an AMAZING table. This is how I always seem to find the live ones, yet never bother with fish lists or wait lists.

BTW, a GREAT place to learn 6 max on the cheap is the PokerStars .5/1 game. The players there aren't as GAMB00L crazy as the Party 1/2 and the rake structure must be better (as Party 1/2 is the WORST online rake structure I'm aware of outside of Pacific raking uncalled bets in NL ring.) Selective aggression works in that game and you get to clean out lots of LooPy players. I used to use that game when I needed a few bucks to reload my PS account for an FTR tourney or whatever.
