I've been on a bit of a downswing. Last week i'd have thought these were fine, but i need to know i'm not playing like a retard.

mp2 is the sheriff. i can count on him to bet if he thinks he has something.

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (9 handed)

1 fold, Hero raises, 1 fold, MP2 calls, 4 folds, BB calls.

Flop: (6.50 SB) J, 2, 5 (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, MP2 calls, BB calls.

Turn: (4.75 BB) A (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, MP2 calls, BB folds.

River: (6.75 BB) A (2 players)
Hero bets, MP2 calls.

Final Pot: 8.75 BB

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed)
Preflop: Hero is UTG+2 with Q, Q.
UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, Hero raises, 1 fold, MP2 calls, 5 folds, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls.

Flop: (9.50 SB) Q, T, 9 (4 players)
UTG bets, UTG+1 calls, Hero raises, MP2 calls, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls.

Turn: (8.75 BB) 3 (4 players)
UTG checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero bets, MP2 calls, UTG calls, UTG+1 folds.

River: (11.75 BB) 8 (3 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets, MP2 calls, UTG calls.

Final Pot: 14.75 BB

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (7 handed)
Preflop: Hero is SB with A, 8. CO posts a blind of $3.
3 folds, CO (poster) checks, Button calls, Hero completes, BB checks.

co is super loose >50% vp$ip, maybe a little aggressive.

Flop: (4.50 SB) 5, A, 8 (4 players)
Hero bets, BB folds, CO calls, Button raises, Hero 3-bets, CO calls, Button calls.

Turn: (6.75 BB) 9 (3 players)

Hero bets, CO raises, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 13.50 BB

anyway, thanks for any advice.

Hand 1: At an unknown table I'm limping this preflop but if you know the table is tight/aggro then I like a raise.

I'd check/fold the turn, I think you're beat often here against two opponents.

I'd check/call the river but it's close. I'm betting with a loose read but agaisnt an unknown I'd rather check/call and hopefully induce a bet from a hand that would have folded. Edit: just noticed the read. I'm check/calling against this guy.

Hand 2 is really really standard. What's your question?

Hand 3: I'm raising preflop, you have a strong hand against two random hands and someone who has effectively open-limped on the button. Even out of position I think this is a value raise considering all the dead money.

Post-flop looks good.

Overall the hands look pretty well played.

Hand 1: i'm limping to invite callers.

Hand 2: Pretty standard

Hand 3: I do it just like that too. I'm not raising preflop as you are out of position for one and 2, not enough players in the pot to do so to build the pot. Although, a case can be made you can raise to force the posters to fold but. . .

Hand 1: Tough spot, really need reads here but I sometimes try the same stunt. I usually check/call or check/fold the river.
Hand 2 & 3: Standard

4.75 BB in the pot and a double scare card hit. I think bet/fold is a pretty darn good line here. You don't have to take down the pot very often.

After thinking about it some more, I agree.

Folding MP2 would also set up a nice check behind on the river play.

hand 1, it's rare for me to raise that small of a pair, especialy that early early. Eight or nine is usualy my minimum for a pre flop raise. I was pretty sure if he hit the jack, he'd have bet. he missed the jack, but his sheriff nature got the best of me. he called down with pocket 8's. I probably should have given up on the turn and check/folded down.

2 and 3 looked ok to me, but with the swing my feel has gotten all messed up. my first 4500 hands this month were +3.6BB/100. my next 500 just about wiped that out. I'm pretty sure i'm doing it right and the cards just aren't working out.

Phyl, Good point about the suited ace raise. i'm looking for the flush there, but pairing the ace may be enough to take it down. puts me in good position to bet it out on hearts, or possibly checkraise on an ace. I think i'm sticking a bit to much to 'the book' i'm probably ahead there with the table as loose as it was, that would have been a great spot to... well loose an extra SB. But in general i like that raise.

two things, first, I don't want to be a 'bad beat' guy, but what to post? The big losers are obvious hands i'd want to want to post, but that's awfuly results oriented and i'm not going to learn anything (much) from those. I guess my basics are ok. big hand, ram and jam. Second, thanks for the "you played 2 and 3 right" i needed that.
