You raise pre-flop and bet the flop (as expected) and get an auto-call from a donk. When should you consider a turn check/raise?

I've almost never run lines like this in the past, but given that amount of calling stations I'm seeing who like to bet if checked to, I'm wondering if I should...

My first attempt at this didn't go so well...

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Fnord is SB with Q, Q.
1 fold, UTG+1 raises, 6 folds, Fnord 3-bets, 1 fold, UTG+1 calls.

Flop: (7 SB) Q, 9, A (2 players)
Fnord bets, UTG+1 raises, Fnord 3-bets, UTG+1 calls.

Turn: (6.50 BB) 9 (2 players)
Fnord checks, UTG+1 checks.

River: (6.50 BB) 5 (2 players)
Fnord bets, UTG+1 calls.

Final Pot: 8.50 BB

Results in white below:
Fnord has Qc Qh (full house, queens full of nines).
UTG+1 has Ac Kd (two pair, aces and nines).
Outcome: Fnord wins 8.50 BB.

call the flop, call the flop raise, check raise the turn. You're three bet preflop signals AQ or better to a thinking player and a three bet on this flop means TPTK or better. Thus, make it look like you are afraid of his flop raise.

Obviously, you know this, but others might not.

I put him on Ax here really easily. Fail that a flush draw. Either way, I had a feeling I'll often draw a bet when checked to reflex. Players seem to get away with this against me pretty often.
