Had my first real bad session at Gamesgrid today. Started off great 2-tabling 2/4. Pocket k's won a good amount, and quad q's bumped me up 40 on teh day, from 668 to 708. Took 45 min break for lunch.

Had a horrible downswing, must have gotten K's, AK's, QQ's, a shitload of times, and in one hour 2-tabling 2-4, I was down a total of 100 to 568. Rallied back to around 608 where I stopped, down 15 BB's on the day.

My question is this: normally, I'd have a cut-off as to when I'd stop. I played roughy 4 hours after being down 100 in the first hour. But since I was making $12 an hour with VFP's, and cleared $20 of bonus, I didnt even think about stopping.

When a downswing gets bad in one day, when should I end up calling it quits ?

(note I'm playing above my bankroll b/c this is the last week VFP's wage rate is the same. Then next week I go back to 1/2 )

50BB is nothing to be concerned about. Particularly if the grid games are as bad as I hear.

Play until you can no longer make the right choice. 50 BB for me is usually enough to take a break and come back. It also depends on why you are losing . . .I'll stay if that one player continues to suck out on my aces.

(my actual performance at the tables)
day 1: -$23
Day 2: +33
day 3: +24
Day 4: +45
day 5: -60 (not done yet, still time to rally back)

I was making such nice progress at the tables. One bad session has sent me back to about where I was a few days ago. Even though I'm up in total +$18 at the tables, how do you guys deal with it when you build up your roll, and one bad day blows about 5-10 hours of work ?

Note: it was only 15 bb's. 60 / 4 = 15. .

Dropping $100 at a single 2/4 table or $150 at a single 3/6 table isn't uncommon for me.

yesterday on gamesgrid i dropped 255 for the day 8 tabling, the cards weren't there, and when i did get a hand it was second best. 15bb is nothing, dont sweat it.

I think (hope) he meant 64 BB. Otherwise he was playing way too long.
