Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 8, 7.
UTG calls, 2 folds, MP1 calls, Hero calls, 1 fold, CO calls, 1 fold, SB raises, 1 fold, UTG calls, MP1 calls, Hero calls, CO calls.

Flop: (11 SB) 4, 5, J (5 players)
SB checks, UTG checks, MP1 bets, Hero calls, CO calls, SB calls, UTG raises, MP1 calls, Hero calls, CO calls, SB calls.

Turn: (10.50 BB) 9 (5 players)
SB checks, UTG bets, MP1 folds, Hero calls, CO calls, SB raises, UTG calls, Hero calls, CO calls.

River: (18.50 BB) 6 (4 players)
SB bets, UTG folds, Hero raises, CO folds, SB calls.

Final Pot: 22.50 BB

Results in white below:
SB has Ks Kh (one pair, kings).
Hero has 8h 7h (straight, nine high).
Outcome: Hero wins 22.50 BB.

Even one marginal (if not just bad) preflop call can be made up with good post flop play. Although, its not like took a lot of skill or anything, but i had ODDS the entire way to call. Thanks buds, I steal me a pot.

(BTW, SB was pissed to all hell: "why oh why must I lose to a gutshot")

it seems thats a pretty loose table for 5/10, i would think it would be tighter

Yeah, I hate that pre-flop call too unless this table is atypical for Party 5/10.

On the flop you have 3 clean gut-shot outs, backdoor flush and 1 dirty gut-shot out. ~4.5-5 outs, with more chances to become open ended. The passive flop play let you in too cheap. On the turn you're open-ended and are going to see the river in this monster pot even if it's capped.

SB has got put in the first bet on the flop, too many hands will raise him in this game that he would be happy to re-raise on the flop or c/r on the turn.

I looked up, saw there were two limpers plus the blinds left to play, and gambled on getting 2 more people in the pot. I regretted the decision until the river came. I was saying to myself "god damn these odds, they are committing me to the pot." Heh, they hit tho....

Yup, but if the guy bet and then MP raised, I was still getting 17-2 to call, let alone anyone behind me calling (that doesnt mean i call here though, i would have to think about it). And I had to think twice on the turn double gut.
