I'm deeply curious about the outcome. I may have been really tempted to just call the river bet.

I know this is Party Poker, which has a betting cap, but out of curiosity, if there were no cap, and assuming your opponent keeps raising back as long as you are raising, how many bets do you take this to?

Without a cap, I would be more inclined to just call a 3-bet and would certainly just call a 5-bet here. Past 5 or 6 bets you really want the nuts and if it's not the river you need to consider the possibility you're getting freerolled.

Q4 called and MHIG.

I'm almost positive you're missing too much value on the river.

YES, I got a pair, nevermind the raiser, he's just an action player anyways

BB checks, MP bets, Fnord raises, BB folds, MP calls.

Ah he might have a 5 so I'm just gonna call

Turn: (5.16 BB) Q (2 players)

YES, 2 pair

MP bets, Fnord raises

Crap, he still has the 5

MP calls.

River: (9.16 BB) 5 (2 players)

Nice now i got a fullhouse

MP bets, Fnord raises...

crap, he has quads
take your ego out of the equation and judge the situation dispassionately

Me too. Bear in mind I'm quite new to limit, and have played mostly no limit for the last year. Often times my decision whether or not to bet/raise the river is based on the strong possibility of an aggressive opponent re-raising me, with or without the goods, and putting me to a very tough decision. I'm still getting used to the idea of raising in limit when my equity edge is probably very slim.

Limit and NL here play the same. There is only ONE card in the entire deck that can beat you. Given his action, he doesnt have it.
