PokerStars 1/2 Hold'em (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 3, 4.
UTG raises, 1 fold, CO calls, Hero calls, SB 3-bets, BB calls, UTG calls, CO calls, Hero caps, SB calls, BB calls, UTG calls, CO calls.

Flop: (20 SB) K, 4, A (5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, CO checks, Hero bets, SB calls, BB calls, UTG calls, CO calls.

Turn: (12.50 BB) 9 (5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, CO checks, Hero bets, SB folds, BB folds, UTG calls, CO calls.

River: (15.50 BB) 9 (3 players)
UTG checks, CO bets, Hero calls, UTG folds.

Final Pot: 17.50 BB

Now I know what you're thinking... wtf was I thinking pre-flop? Well, let me explain and you can tell me if I played this like a donkey.

1) My cold call - The table was fairly loose passive wth lots and lots of cold calling, I figured that after a raise and two CCs, BB was almost certainly going to call and perhaps SB too. So a likely multiway pot, I thought my suited connectors would be a good investment.

2) My cap - 5 people in the hand and already 3 calls to the 3-bet. I've done a little reading from SSHE and get impression that with my drawing hand I want as much in the pot now that I'm against multiple opponents.

Post flop - I know I probably could have got alot more in the pot here by checking the flop and check-raising the turn but I'm more worried about the pre-flop play on this particular hand.

Opinions please... (I get a feeling I'm gonna get grilled for this one ) [/b]

Yes you will get grilled for this you DONK! (j/k)

43s - AUTO FOLD PERIOD.

Here's what works well and fold to any PFR except KQs+:

AKs & KQs - re-raise and cap from all positions.

QJs & JTs - Raise if first in or if on CO/BUT with limpers only. Limp in MP if UTG limps. If table is tough, fold JTs UTG.

T9s - Raise if folded to you in CO/BUT, limp in if limped to you on BUT. Very rearely do so in CO position though.

98s & 87s - BUTTON ONLY - Raise if folded to you. Limp if limpd to you.

76s & 65s - Folded to you on BUT, raise. Otherwise fold.

thanks for that

I've been reading SSHE but am a little unsure of starting hands as the first few chapters of SSHE assumes you are playing full ring.

I'll be printing off your post for future reference. Cheers!

There's an awesome chart on the 2+2 forums for SHLHE. Don't have the link handy, but you can do a search there.

O really. If you have the c/o or MP limp an you have 67s on the but you limp behind? Is that standerd, I would say its very very read dependant. Im raising there most of the time as a c/o or m/p LIMP is normally an LP or Mouse so im gona isolate with position and try to out play him on the flop, at worst im probly 35/65 and with the added agression, position and more then likly over all skills (i mean the did limp on the co or mp) ill take those odds as more of 80/20 as im basicly forcing the limper to hit a flop, not to mention the times you hit the flop and take an LP to value town holding Oc's , or even bluff out pocket 6's on the AJQ flop, it more then pays for the times your c/r on the flop or have to shut down on the river or turn.
