Why are you raising 78s in MP with only one limper in front of you? That's not the kind of hand I want to isolate with and play HU. I can see raising it from the button or CO with 3 limpers in front, but I don't like the raise.

Flop is g00t. 3-bet the turn. That river is mind boggling. With that action it's hard to believe there is not another flush out there, but it is Pacific afterall.

You need reads to make that pre-flop play. Given the reputation of Pacific games, I wouldn't mind a limp here too much.

I considered limping in, but I do notice that Pacific players are extremely loose, so I raised. I slowed down thinking another higher flush was flopped, but was wrong. I just think besides the mistake of raising pre-flop, I am not aggressive enough at times. I always seem to think the worst, which I have read is not good to do. Do you think based on this hand I am not aggressive enough? Heres another example from today where I think I was too timid:

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (8 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with 4, A. CO posts a blind of $1.50.
2 folds, Hero calls, 1 fold, CO (poster) checks, Button calls, SB completes, BB raises, Hero calls, CO calls, Button calls, SB calls.

Flop: (10.50 SB) K, 4, Q (5 players)
SB checks, BB bets, Hero calls, CO calls, Button calls, SB folds.

Turn: (7.25 BB) 4 (4 players)
BB bets, Hero raises, CO calls, Button calls, BB 3-bets, Hero calls, CO calls $2.87 (All-In), Button calls, BB calls, Hero calls.

River: (20.99 BB) A (4 players, 1 all-in)
BB bets, Hero raises, Button 3-bets, BB calls, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 29.99 BB

Results in white

harleyjm shows [ Th, Js ] a straight, ten to ace.
daniute doesn't show [ Ad, 2d ] two pairs, aces and fours.
rwm401 shows [ 4h, Ah ] a full house, Fours full of aces.
dougo7 doesn't show [ Qh, 7h ] two pairs, queens and fours.
rwm401 wins $18 from side pot #1 with a full house, Fours full of aces.
rwm401 wins $40.98 from the main pot with a full house, Fours full of aces.

I should have capped it on the turn, right? With trip 4s.

Open limp with Axs? Maybe it's just me but that seems a big no-no

Me, I like how you played both hands ... only exception is that hand 2, I only make that preflop limp on a pretty loose table, otherwise fold it. Hand 1 ... awful lot of aggression from other players to be too aggressive with a small flush.

Oh, and reraise that turn with the trip 4s (river too)

Why not an open limp here?

EDIT: I Just read the next post which mentioned the open limp there too. Are you more prone then to drop Ax suited or small pairs when faced with limp, raise or fold to open the pot?

Edit2: I guess I get it, I don't usually limp with this sort of hand either until a few people are already in the pot, depending on my position, and I won't raise with it either normally so fold is good.

The reason I limped with the A-4s was that I expected a multi-way pot, since this is almost always the case at the Pacific 1/2 tables. Thanks for all your advice, I just think I need to stop thinking the worst and be more aggressive with hands like these. I am learning though, and am more aggressive then I used to be. And I can see it paying off in many hands.
