Lots of KK hands causing me trouble lately. Read on MP1 is that he's a total lunatic and will go nuts postflop if I show any weakness.

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (8 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is UTG with K, K.
Hero raises, MP1 calls, 5 folds.

Flop: (5.50 SB) 5, K, 6 (3 players)
Hero checks, MP1 bets, Hero calls.

Turn: (3.75 BB) 3 (3 players)
Hero checks, MP1 bets, Hero raises, MP1 calls.

River: (7.75 BB) 4 (3 players)
Hero bets, MP1 raises, Hero 3-bets, MP1 caps, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 15.75 BB
TylerK: its just gambling if i want to worry about money i'll go to work lol

PFR then check the flop? I think you brought it upon yourself to let him draw. Also, 3 betting on the river with a open end straight board and a 3 flush is wasting your bets. Your read is right, you showed weakness on the flop and he went insane.

I'd like the river 3-bet more if he hadn't slowed down on the turn. I don't hate it though, and given your read it makes sense. But when he wakes up again on the river, it looks legit to me. I'm obviously not folding, but I doubt I'm 3-betting. If you bet out on the flop, the whole hand plays differently and it's easier to read your opponent, IMO. As it is, his flop and turn bets could mean anything.

I' with A'aag here. The turn and river is a legit stop and go, which most of the time means I have a hand. However given your read the 3-bet might be sligtly +EV here. Many of these players will cap with A8of spades for instance just to hope that they can push you off your hand.

But I don't like the 3-bet since you can't fold to a cap vs. this player.

The river 3-bet may have been more out of frustration than anything else.

I think flop line should have been either c/r or lead out other then that I don't see anything...

Get money in on the flop.

On the river you need to consider what kind of maniac he is. A lot of these guys get really passive on the river. Just calling the raise is probably correct.

Learning this a little slowly. But must agree with Fnord here
Superb play sir...I always call 20% of my stack off with a gutshot draw. Excuse me while I race for my wallet.
