Im convinced this was me playing poorly, but Im interested in your feedback. I have just finished reading SSH for the first time (I have sworn by the Lee Jones book until now), and this was my first session trying out some of the principles (preflop play wasnt exactly groundbreaking IMO). Id like to know how you might have played this hand. (note: I moved down to the lowest limit I could, as I was testing new strats - so yes I was aware the play was drastically different than even slightly higher limits would have been)

Was limping KQs a bad move or just tricky and by using his table image he was able to set a trap? Id lean towards teh former only because he consistantly played (IMO) bad poker the rest of his time at the table and barely broke even.

I'm not too familiar with this format, so deciphering the action is a little fuzzy.
What's with all the blinds? He had KQs, not KK?
Pre-flop: Fine, particularly with all of the forced bets.
Flop: Bet, no reason to think you don't have the best hand.
Turn: Bet, you must think you have the best hand here. Unless you were maybe hoping to c/r a late position bet?
River: Meh. With a big pair (well, two) I'd rather get in the extra bet when all of the loose draws will pay off, rather than feed their implied odds. Also, on the turn you're still drawing live (if thin) against a King.

I meant to write KQs, my fault... and the other blinds were players that just came to the table (forced antes I suppose would have been the right term).
I would have c/red the turn with a late bet yes, but with so many people calling in front of me, there were so many possibilities at that point it didnt feel like the right move. As for betting on the flop it didnt occur to me, although in hindsight it looks like a good idea and could have saved me this hand had the maniac decided to raise me there. At least I could have placed him on something beyond a marginal hand.
