Alright, I've been grinding away at two low micro levels and I have been having pretty good success. My last 1000 hands I won 179 BBs. I can attribute this to two things, playing better and playing extremely poor opponents. I am looking to move up as I feel my game is good enough (my BR is already big enough).
I am looking to start it up at the .25/50 tables and I am looking for advice on table selection. What should I generally hope to get out of pot size, plyrs to the flop, and Hands/hr. Of course I would like the fishiest tables, I assume they would have a combination of the biggest pots plus most players to the flop plus least hands/hr. Is this correct? How many players to the flop is too many? Can a game become too much of a crapshoot?
Followup question: Should I look to play FR or 6handed? I started playing online to practice FR poker for my B&M game, however, the table stats I want look to be more readily available at 6max tables.
Thanks for any advice

generally speaking you want the loose players on your right and the tight players on your left. Too many bad players isn't neccessarily bad, it just increases your variance a lot and some players will have the tendency to play worse because of it.
Obviously, bigger pot size and more players to the flop is a sign of a decent table, but seat selection is still more important.
I would suggest FR as short handed can be a difficult game for new players. I know I haven't even considered tackling that challenge yet. It's been said several times that if you can master 6 max, you're ready for serious poker. Most players lose a ton in the process though.

6 max is more fun as you have to play more hands and you are in tighter spots. Because of these spots your variance will be higher, but all the bad players are at 6max since it's more fun and you can play more hands.

Midas' points about 6max are valid, but 6max requires a skill set I don't think you are ready for. Namely blind play, which I don't believe you've even been remotely introduced to yet at the micro levels.

Yep, don't think Im ready for 6max either, just played about 200 hands there and I had very little clue how to play. Results weren't too bad but I found myself wanting to chase too many draws with not enough equity. Looks like I'll be reading the shorthanded forum for a lil bit.
Anyone know where the best full ring .25/50 games are online? My site never has more than one table with 8 plus players.

I'd wager that just about every site's .25/.50 games are going to play very similarly. Tighter than you'd like (sucks you didn't start playing poker a year ago, they rocked back then ) but definitely beatable. So grab your favorite one.
PokerStars, I'd assume.

This is Party Poker by a landslide from what I've seen. There might be some smaller sites that have worse players, but probably none that also consistently have enough tables to choose from. Don't let the Monster Jackpot talk scare you away from Party either, it doesn't kick in until 2/4.

Party doesn't do .25/.50, unless youre talking about the beginner tables, which poster may or may not have available.

What would qualify or disqualify me from the beginner tables, what is different about these, I haven't been on that network and do not know all that much about these tables.
Thanks

A followup on all of this. At .25/50 am I looking at a rake, and if so will it eat up my profits. I am looking at the FTR rakeback programs and battlefield poker looks to be the tops. Anyone have any suggestions on this site or if I need a rakeback at these stakes. There seems to be no bonus at this site, which would I rather have right now, a bonus or rakeback?
Thanks

I've never played at battlefield poker, and in all honesty, I don't know anyone who has.
Bonus Whoring is certainly very profitable, its how most of us built our bankrolls. Head over to bonuswhores.com and do whatever they tell you to do -- I think theres a link somewhere called BonusWhoring 101 which is very solid.
The beginner tables at party are accessible to accounts new to PartyPoker.com for a certain time period (ie 3 months -- but I'm not sure on the length of time allowed). Although I'd bet even if you were past that period you could *probably* email them and ask them to let you in.
