pretty big pot for 4's to take down, and occasionally you hit your set also. I generally bet out once on the flop, or raise once and then bet the turn. If I miss or get raised i let it go. Not quite sure if this wins me more money or not yet, i think it depends on who you try it on. This way is definitely a good way to get bigger pocket pairs to fold out to your small pairs however. Expect more swing in your roll if you try this.

It's a good play if your read calls for it. Also, consider that just calling it down post-flop is also a pretty good line.

Yeah I completely agree with you. Not a very good play for party unless you give the player credit for being able to put down hands. Save this one for higher limits or better players.
On a side note- how many bets can you call preflop with low to medium pairs when you know your a 4-1 dog or against ak?

To answer your question, I would call only 1 bet HU, but with 3 or 4 raisers in the pot I've been known to call a cap. Your implied odds are huge in this case.
When I first started I would fold my under pair on the flop after a raise preflop. But, I started to realize I have the best hand as long as Undercards kept coming. This is more of an expert play than you would think. The only thing I hate is to get runner runner overpair to counterfeit my underpair,

I understand this, and thats why i check raise with these lower pairs. if they have overcards they usually just call and then fold on the turn, however i run into a lot of ppl that slow play aces kings or queens and just call u down or raise on turn.

If you get check raised on the turn you can probably let it go. More often than not, the AK and AQ crowd are seeing a showdown here.
