When you have a pocket pair and an overcard flops, how far do you bet it before folding? Say i bet the turn and he calls, do i bet river? What if i bet turn and he raises, i let it go?

thats the way i had played it until now... and then i get beat on river for checking turn.

If it's a safe turn like this one I'm probably calling down.

I'm checking this river aswell. The board is four to a flush and two overcards. Main reason I check this is because I can't see a lot of hands he is calling down with that we still beat besides smaller PP's and I would just hate to make that crying call on the river If we get raised.

Easy turn bet, easy fold to a turn raise.
Easy river bet, easy fold to a river raise.

However, call-down instead of fold sometimes against really aggro opponents. Don't fold this one to a maniac, just don't do it.
