I didnt feel 88 deserves a re-raise in this position, i knew there would be a few callers at least and this was the first time ive cold called anything since i started playing limit. I didnt want to raise the flop and force out some of the weaker hands so i was just content to call it untill the turn.
whats the verdict?

when you see the limp, limp, raise you can pretty much call with any speculative hand safely
take your ego out of the equation and judge the situation dispassionately

The cold call or the 3-bet works here to isolate.

Isolation works better when your hand will likely be the best in the end or if you're playing against someone who will respect your bets on later streets.
